Key Atlantic current could collapse soon,

And CNN will be there to cover it live. We’ll be live-blogging the collapse with Dana Bash and Wolf Blitzer.

That NYT article about disinformation had this at the end. I’ve never heard of this guy, but what a fricking traitor. Stay in Russia, you jerk. Enjoy, and watch out for open windows.

John Mark Dougan, the former sheriff’s deputy from Florida now working for Moscow’s propaganda apparatus, has previously declined to comment on his connections with Russia’s disinformation campaigns, but his contributions are clear.

He appeared in a video on the platform Rumble earlier this month, detailing what he and the host claimed was an account by an exchange student from Kazakhstan accusing Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota, Ms. Harris’s running mate, of sexual abuse. He has spread that and the other smears on multiple social media platforms and in scores of news outlets he has created from his apartment in Moscow.

In a text message, he reacted angrily to questions about making false accusations against Mr. Walz. “What about E Jean Carrols claims?” he wrote, imprecisely, about E. Jean Carroll, the woman who accused Mr. Trump of sexual assault. Referring to her vulgarly, he said she “didn’t have any evidence whatsoever,” even though a jury in New York ordered Mr. Trump to pay her $83 million for defaming her in 2019 after she came forward with her accusation.

Mr. Dougan then shared links to Hindustan Times, an English-language news outlet in Delhi, and to two sites that he created, Patriot Pioneer and State Stage, both included on a list of websites the F.B.I. and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency cited last week as platforms for Russian disinformation campaigns.

“Lots of publications have been writing about this,” he wrote.

But since Roberts can’t be removed, the observation is nice, but nothing will be done about it.

Roberts will be there for another twenty years. That was the whole point of his appointment.

I read that as “Ronald McDonald Resurfaces with Warnings for Republican” and was thinking the brand was in panic-mode damage control

Or an organized group of thugs that will bust heads on the unorganized and undefended citizenry that persuades them not to vote (or vote a certain way).

He is still saying that he really shouldn’t be talking, as a retired Military, and retired Federal Government employee about anything related to the election or politics. Yes, asshat. And Coward. Too little, too late. He knew who and what he had been working for the past six years. Vindman, the CIA analyst whistleblower, and many other whistleblowers who have gone to jail for exposing secret/classified documents–they’re the ones we might call heroes, who really put themselves in danger, real danger. I’m not sure I would include Cheney and Kinzinger in that category. I’m glad they came forward, of course, and took on their GQP Party. And Politics as a career is a very different kind of animal to work in than the rest of life. They know that.

Nice…they were playing Stern’s interview with him and the E Street Band again this morning. The part where he and his wife, Patty, talk about raising their kids normal and well-adjusted was on and is a really good part. Bruce joking with her that he’s the Boss for 3 hours at a time and that it ends when he steps off stage was a nice touch. I really can’t recommend it enough.

Yeah. I don’t know if he read the article, but in it someone (I forget who) is quoted as telling Trump that Hitler’s generals tried three times to assassinate Hitler; Rommel killed himself when he was caught as a participant in one of the plots. Trump just assumes that dictators command absolute loyalty from their armies; he has no knowledge of history, let alone comprehension of the concept “country over party.”

So, maybe both Trump and Kilmeade might want to be careful what they wish for.

At some point, they could get around to them. Did they give a hundred bucks to Harris? In their social media history, did they criticize Trump? (Musk wouldn’t have to be subpoenaed by the Trump Injustice Department to turn over the X accounts – hell, he’d be running to the White House with them).

That’s how Putin’s Russia operates. And I’m sur the Trump types would have be eager to emulate.

I’m assuming that the $100K a week from Russia had to be scaled back to get the North Korean army to join the Russians in trying to capture Ukraine. Timmy Pool needs to get a job! A real job.

We need it here, too, particularly in Southern New Mexico, where incumbent Democratic Representative Gabe Vasquez is fighting off MAGA Yvette Herrell. In the previous election, when he won his first term, his victory was counted in just over 1,000 votes.

Not really. They feel like they got permission from responsible adults to finally acknowledge the elephant in the room. I’m sure many of the reporters knew it, maybe even some the editorial staff knew it, but finally some real Americans (and by that I mean conservatives) said it. So It’s OK to admit Trump is a fascist now.

Let’s see if they take the next logical step, “If Trump is a fascist, and it’s OK to admit it, does that mean that some of his followers are fascists?” You know, deplorables.

Harris has Taylor Swift, Bruce Spriingsteen, Eminem, and a raft of others.

I’m waiting for the concert comedy show of Ted Nugent and Kid Rock. Think they could fill a high school gym?

The right is ready to abandon democracy if that is what it takes to hold power.

Trump supporters want a Fascist leader who will purge the country of liberal leftist commie atheist socialists, immigrants poisoning the blood, and anyone supporting concepts of equal opportunity.

The right decided 50 years ago that the ends justify the means in politics.

Re: MSM coverage of warnings (finally!):
The problem I see every day around here is that these messages are not being seen/read by the MAGAts. They do not read. They don’t watch TV unless its the “anger and horror story” channels. Two people have said out loud that they get their news from Facebook. They seem well satisfied by that.

One young woman at the barn has spoken out that she needs to vote to “save the country”; the T campaign (Thiel, Trump, and TraiterMusk) has been successful in turning out the MAGA vote through Xitter and Fb.

While I am delighted to see heavy turnout, and I’m touched by stories from Blue Districts of kids pushing the button for Kamala, I am really worried about the the number of motivated voters who never get exposed to anything but fiction.

Hard to find a little hope molecule in Red Indiana. (There are now THREE Harris/Walz signs on my commute.)
