On another note: Watching French News do an analysis on America. (It is so refreshing to hear Journalists refusing to bow to their corporate masters). One journalist stated that Biden will have to REBUILD the entire Government…after Trump has hollowed every department…including the Diplomatic Corps.

I’ve never used Twitter, so I can’t comment. But Facebook falls into the same category. Worst user interface I’ve ever seen. Almost comically inept. Garbage. And yet, at the same time, FB’s ability to manage staggering numbers of images and videos is a technical marvel. Makes me think the UI is bad intentionally, for reasons that escape me.

On Twitter, people just noted that Parler is down…it looks like an attack on their servers. Good.
I bet that Parler will be moving its servers overseas shortly, because the Democrats are going to pass laws that require social media to do something about the hate online. Moderation actually will be a good thing, simply because all of the raging assholes over the past few years (from Gamergate to MAGA) have created a cesspool that the social media companies wouldn’t clean up. They just planned an invasion of the Capitol on these sites, and no one lifted a finger…that’s going to stop. It won’t stop the hate, but maybe it will stop people from spreading hateful memes that my aunt picks up and posts to Facebook.
