Twitter Locks Out McConnell Campaign After Posting Vid Of Critic

Twitter suspended Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) reelection campaign on Wednesday after the “Team Mitch” account posted a video of a protester cursing the senator’s “raggedy, wrinkled-ass neck.”

Gosh, I’ll bet Mitch just feels terrible.

Mitch seems to be having some trouble with his PR team. Second day in a row that he puts out something questionable. Could Mitch be having a moment of extreme anxiety? What a shame. It is fun watching a once consummate dirty politician stumble so badly.

I’m old enough to remember when this was the latest ‘fashion’

And part of the criticism came from the (supposedly) impartial.

If the voodoo works, it’s the same as pulling the trigger yourself.

McConnell’s campaign manager told the Courier Journal, “This is a problem with the speech police in America today.”

Silencing speech is outrageous!

I mean, c’mon, it’s not like some lady Senator tried to read a letter from Coretta Scott King or anything.

I think this Moscow Mitch can be tied to him like a can tied to a dog’s tail.
We need billboards plus short ad that show his financial ties to Putin – not Russia – Putin.

Why would you assume that?

Do Moscow Mitch McConnell’s Twitter followers really believe that a non-government for profit company like Twitter terms and conditions make Twitter the “speech police”? Did Twitter have arrest power? Can it search your home with a warrant?

In the lobby of the El Paso hospital he takes time to trash Sherod Brown and the Dayton mayor. Classy.

The main problem with US politics is that we keep electing morons, assholes, racists and sexists. Perhaps that’s because a majority of voting Americans are morons, assholes, racists and sexists.

Perhaps we should do something about that?

And yes, I realize that Hillary got more votes, as do congressional Dems collectively, and that it’s our indirect electoral system that allows the minority to prevail. But if you add the total number of GOP voters to the total number of third party and write-in voters, it’s often if not usually more than the total number of Dem voters. Add to that the total number of eligible non-voters and it’s not even close.

See, it’s a mistake to believe him that he fractured his shoulder, the poor polio survivor.

IMHO, call him on his supposed fracture. After all it looks like he’s just evading calling the Senate back to debate any legislation on gun control. And giving a medical excuse that can’t be checked.

And following that route you get the insult you want to put in there, while the right wing can wring their little hands until they go purple to no avail.

Also, he’s a liar of convenience (unlike Trump who lies habitually, Mitch lies only when he needs to, that is when it’s convenient for his goals) and we don’t have any evidence that he actually injured anything. Just his statement. The statement of a liar of convenience. So, it’s likely he didn’t fracture anything.

PS: fractures are not post polio side effects. Muscle attrophy is a post polio side effect. Mitch never shared that he suffers from that. So, what’s his view on mandatory vaccination? Given the length of time that passed from h having polio, he’s suffering from some old age illness rather than post polio side effects.

It’s kinda funny that a Republican run account is screaming ‘zensorship’, while ignoring that the party’s leader is free to tweet or retweet whatever.

The is why I HATE Twitter. It is destroying us.

It’s more a symptom than a cause. At most, both. We’ve mostly lost the ability to experience anything with any depth or extendedness. Everything is here and now and ephemeral, quickly discarded, moved on from and forgotten. Twitter is both cause and effect of that, and post-dates it.

In a way this is a bit of a good thing, in that even wingnuts tend to abandon their latest crie de guerre within a few years. Whatever happened to their obsession with death panels, gay marriage and deficits (of course part of this is because these issues were mostly opportunistic and not sincerely regarded)?

Thus, their current obsession with the “invasion” and “replacement” will soon enough dissipate, to be replaced by yet another phantom menace. What will it be? Robots? AI? Albino goats? Bulgarian pizza? Who knows, these are not terribly bright and emotionally grounded people. It’ll be whatever their minders decide will best advance their interests and restore GOP power.

Twitter is just a means, not a method. It’s not the real problem.
