I will say that the content of today’s MM seems to mirror our nearly 5K thread, picking up on the points we saw as important over the holiday break. Gives this thread a good stepping off point.

Trump and the brand of conservatism he leads is a cancer killing America. As Trump pimp slaps America we just sit here and take it, where are the real Americans willing to step up and do what needs to be done?

Appearing Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Murphy was asked about a briefing that Hegseth and Rubio held last month with senators about Venezuela.

“I can certainly tell you that the message that they sent was that this wasn’t about regime change. When they came to Congress — and they literally lied to our face — they said, ‘This is just a counternarcotics operation. This is about trying to interrupt the drug flow to the United States,’” Murphy said.

regime change with no plan or exit strategy.

The same is true for our federal budget, environmental programs, and water supplies.

No plan. No fix. Just constant chaos to keep Americans focused on absurd irrelevancies.

Although Machado ultimately said she was dedicating the award to Trump, her acceptance of the prize was an “ultimate sin,” said one of the people.

“If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today,” this person said.

DonOLD can’t even run this country. He’s only good at running his mouth.
Not sure if this is a + or a - but does anyone else think that Trump has created a situation where he can’t leave the country?

I am sure I am not the first person to note this, but trump’s misadventure in Venezuela is going to leave the US no leg to stand on in opposing an eventual Chinese invasion and takeover of Taiwan. And if you think the world economy is fucked now, just wait until all of Taiwan’s high tech manufacturing infrastructure is destroyed in China’s effort to annex Taiwan.

What was the NPP committee thinking when they gave the PP to her? She bought into MAGA conspiracy theories that Maduro was tampering with the US Presidential Election. She’s a right-wing zealot.

As a reminder that the first attack on Venezuela under Trump II was the lawless invocation of the Alien Enemies Act in March, the Trump DOJ last night cited the ouster of Maduro in asking U.S. District Judge James Boasberg of D.C. for an extension of today’s deadline to submit a proposal for how to provide the original AEA detainees with due process:

This administrative process is officially known as circular treasoning.
