The finding that acting U.S. Attorney Robert McGuire may not have been the sole decision-maker contradicts repeated assertions made in court by the Trump DOJ to try to avoid scrutiny into the roles of top officials, including Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.
This is clear cut perjury and anything less than throwing the book at the culprits is unacceptable.

Never mind the violation of International law, It’s clear that there was no plan for what to do after seizing Maduro. The entire regime is still in place, its military and brown shirt enforcers still roam the streets. There is no way the US is going to “run” that country without tens of thousands of troops imposing our will.
This is the stupidest imperial move this country has ever made.

Trump’s comments last night on Air Force One suggest that no country is safe from his impulsivity, especially as his domestic political fortunes darken amid his lame duck status:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC): “You just wait for Cuba.”
“We’re in charge” of Venezuela, Trump said again.
