As long as he maintains eye contact with tRump, he’s safe. No one ever gets fired face-to-face. That’s what Twitter’s for.
Yep. But not Trump. Give him credit, he can lie as shamelessly as anyone I’ve ever seen.
And I’m 68 years old…and seen a lot of liars.
Word is Mick might not be tossed out as fast as we might think because they have no one to take over. They have already gone through all the best people. I believe he is still wearing two hats in the badministration.
Sure. he could just slip Pompeo into that spot. He’s only got one Cabinet position.
He’s going to Israel to solve the situation over there, so should have plenty of time after next week once he’s fixed everything…
I almost wouldn’t be surprised if they kept Mulvaney in his Consumer Financial Protection Bureau job and just replaced him as Chief of Staff. Though, as I’ve said before, they probably are having trouble finding anyone at all willing to take the COS job.
What is the over/under on Mulvaney making it to the end of the week.
Mulvaney’s sin is doing what he thought would help Trump, so, of course, Trump has to throw him under the bus. Trump really should think this through, loyal henchmen like Mulvaney are becoming very hard to find.
Somehow I bet Jared would have no trouble finding room in his schedule to be Chief of Staff…
It’s a vicious cycle, or a GOTO loop, or however you want to describe it. Trump’s role is to suck, and everyone else’s job is to fix it and make it fly. When his job was pretending to be rich, that was barely manageable. When his job is to be the leader of a powerful, advanced nation, it’s impossible. Anyone with the hubris or simple idiocy sufficient to try will before long be humiliatingly dismissed. And as we say in these situations, rinse and repeat.

Part of it is that some people currently in the White House will not work under the few who do want the job.
In his schedule, sure. But vampires don’t do well with sunlight, and there is the occasional press scrum outside that he’d be expected to partake in.
I’ll bet Matt Gaetz would love to be Chief of Staff, but they need him in Congress to obstruct the impeachment inquiry.
With this and The State Dept. tossing Rudy we now see the strategy unveiled; Blame it all on Rudy and Mulvaney.
Trump and Pompeo just got “Bad Advice” from incompetent and devious advisers, who are secretly part of the “Deep State” and out to “Hurt the President” because he is so smart.
I know, they can get Mark Esperanto to take the job!
Man, those “Get Over It” tee shirts don’t seem to have been such a great idea now.
That is Acting Chief of Staff.

I KNOW it goes without saying but…Trump is a cowardly little wannabe dictator who sends out his minions to do his bidding and then yea or nay proclaims ‘Off with their heads’. Donnie only talks to the great unwashing on his way to the helicopter or when he can harangue them from the podium. Again. Why would ANYONE want to work for him? I know it’s close to ‘power’ but I can wait until it’s over.
I think it comes down to the Chief of Staff position being too close to actual work for Jared.
