Trump Unexpectedly Defends Biden After North Korea Attacks Top Dem Rival

President Donald Trump defended 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden on Sunday morning after North Korean state media called Biden a “rabid dog” who “must be beaten to death with a stick.”

Well that firms it up. This out of sync Walter Reed visit is a competency check, laying the ground for a president whose health is failing and must live out his days in isolation. And away from prosecution. Defending Biden is obviously an attempt to put foundation under all of that.

Speaking of defending.

Congress should be impeaching Barr.

That is not even close to a defense, and it’s irresponsible to say so. It’s a blatant attempt to turn the focus back on himself (trump), while seeming to offer yet MORE concessions.

I don’t think the Federalist Society gala speech was the setting that Trump wanted for Barr to defend him. But having said that it’s good to know that those who belong to the Federalist Society and cheered Barr’s speech on how being POTUS is really akin to being king can now be identified.

That’s not a defense in any way. Trump just didn’t like that it sounded like NK is afraid of Biden.

Let’s not get carried away with astonishment at this unexpected defense. He said Trump was somewhat better than a rabid dog. If that’s a defense it’s pretty, uh, tepid.

Yes indeed.

This is Barr’s “sanitized” version of “two minutes hate.“ In his mind, we on the left are illegitimate agents of governance. And any means necessary to prevent our governing is justified, including lying, cheating, false prosecution, and perhaps violence.

This explains Barr, the theocrat and sophist.

“I’m the only one that can make it happen. Have to act quickly. Get the deal done.” Has he been paying attention to the way Kim has been playing him? Kim has all the concessions he needs and has given nothing in return. Kim has his deal.

Makes me wonder what Fat Nixon promised / extorted KJU for that little rant?

“Rabid dog” is exactly the opposite of “sleepy and very slow”, which is the image of Joe Biden Trump wants to paint. Perhaps he just saw it as unhelpful to his campaign efforts?

Trump wants NK to say nasty things about him, knowing all nasty ass dictators think he is a sissy.

Manafort is apparently pumping iron in FCI Loretto, a minimum security facility, after Barr intervened to keep him out of Rikers. Certainly not the guy in a wheelchair we saw at his trial. Maybe Trump is planning the same kind of illness defense? Imagine Trump showing up sans hair dye and false teeth in a wheelchair in his future trial. Club Fed, look out!

OT: Trump and Boris Johnson -both cut from the same “red” cloth. Things are coming to a head both here and in the U.K.

TPM–

Please look at context rather than just the words. This piece is embarrassing compared to some of the excellent work of the past week.

Trump will not be prosecuted, period. Not a chance that DOJ under a Democratic administration would touch that for fear of being perceived to be going after their political enemies. He’s going to enjoy the impunity of the powerful, on steroids. I might also add that a loose cannon Trump could easily be politically beneficial to Democrats as a living, breathing, yet powerless threat to the country.

Barr, on the other hand, is exposed.

But at least Johnson offers Putin more tennis opportunities.

The DOJ might leave him alone, but New York may not.

Perfect description of Trumpster demagoguery, that Barr is misinterpreting and projecting onto the left, the progressives who carry this country’s mission against the authoritarianism, racism, misogyny, xenophobia, stratification, division and corruption Barr perverts his office to support.
