That is basically what I was thinking. Apparently, Trump sees rabid dogs as strong and powerful. He cannot have that associated with a potential rival.
Never say never. For all the fears scattered about on impeachment, things are going in a surprisingly up direction. Perceptions are changing daily. His crimes are not simply a bit of graft, he has played wrecking ball for our adversaries and that evidence is mounting swiftly. If his self gain is a motivation, it allowed him to toss this country over completely. That picture is resolving into view crisply.
In the last few weeks, the game has changed dramatically. It is not longer that the sweater is ratty looking, it is unraveling for him. I cannot even ball park a forecast for myself where we will be two weeks from now. The tone of each side has changed, the defense has changed and in some ways become muted. The defense has almost no shred of logic and real teeth. The only thing the Republicans fielded during the hearings so far is deflection and a need for sound bites. Not something I would want my future as a defendant to depend on at all. And in doing that, they did it weakly and clumsily. The Republicans look profoundly bad. I actually was not expecting that.
So never say never. The game is on and Trump and his good ol’ boys are losing sympathy by the minute. By the time Trump leaves office, there is a 50/50 chance in my thinking that the country will want blood for the things he has done to us.
Indeed. It is almost incalculable. Or maybe it is going to take decades to catalog and correct.
Because I am a dialectical thinker, I tend to have a line of thinking that a great deal of previously unexpected good will come to America as a result of Donald J. Trump.
Mr. Chairman, Joe Biden may be Sleepy and Very Slow, but he is not a “rabid dog.” He is actually somewhat better than that, but I am the only one who can get you where you have to be. You should act quickly, get the deal done. See you soon!
… … … …
And where would that be donald? Jail for Mr Kim? “Get you where you have yo be”…OK will you be driving the paddy wagon personally donald?
Indeed, and I gotta suppose it also explains why Barr doesn’t push his strong theory of the unitary executive when there’s a Democratic president.
In act, then, is nothing more than a justification for one party rule by his party.
The really scary aspect is how many current Supreme Court Justices are members of, or at least adherents to the philosophy of, the Federalist Society, because they can shape Constitutional interpretation for a generation.
