I have to wonder when someone in the mainstream media will quit dancing around the elephant in the room and just say right out loud that the President of the United States is flat out crazy…mad…unhinged…insane?
Everybody, including a lot of diehard Republicans, know it, and the rest of us have known it for ages. Yes, he has always been a calculating, greedy lawbreaker, but this goes way beyond his usual default state of psychopathy.

Maybe for some conversations there is an expectation of privacy that some jurisdictions enforce by requiring consent on both ends for any recording. But this seems to have been official business. Raffensperger announces that he has his dept’s counsel on the line, and that person even joins the conversation at times. Trump presumably had his people at least listening to the call as well. Is there any expectation of privacy that any jurisdiction honors for such official, govt business, calls, with all sorts of people listening on both ends, by making it a crime to make a recording? Maybe there are executive privilege or security concerns involved if you’re talking to the president, but those would trump any state law anyway.

Yes in the cumberbatch movie about Turing the break came I think because every message ended with an encoded “HH” for “heil hitler” (auto correct really wants that to be “Neil Hitler”, which is hilarious.) so they new the code for “H.”

Fine, and they warn us about entering “dangerous, unlawful and unconstitutional territory” – but taking the likes of Cheney and Rumsfeld seriously on this subject is more than I can manage.

I thought the Speaker set the rules and EVERYBODY in the BUILDING of Congress has to mask. It’s like all the new GOP Reps want to carry guns; ‘that’ is against DC city rules.
