Trump Tries To Bully GA Sec Of State Into Overturning Results In Unhinged Call | Talking Points Memo

In the waning weeks of his presidency, President Trump berated Georgia secretary of state Brad Raffensperger in an hourlong phone call on Saturday where the President demanded that the battleground state’s top elections official “find” enough votes to overturn his loss to President-elect Joe Biden, according to the Washington Post on Sunday.

Remember when Trump said he could stand on 5th Avenue and shoot someone and no one would care?

He’s standing on 5th Avenue and shooting everyone in sight and people like Ted Cruz are supplying him ammunition while telling us to calm down.

It’s bananas.

Edit: … imagine if Obama had lost to Romney in 2012 and tried even a smidgen of the bullshit that Trump has been pulling.

At this rate, first week of 2021 will rival the worst week of 2020

Mob Boss, assisted by his attorneys…

It was a perfect call, if by perfect you mean incriminating.

There was nothing “unhinged” about that phone call … it was calculated and loaded with threats and bullying.

Don’t allow Trump to be “crazy” in your stenography when he violates the law as he does on this call.

Go find Neal Katyal’s words on this and read them … twice.

This is huge, no? Must be leaked in full. A smoking gun for sure.

Treason. Impeach him again. The Senate should vote on it.

It’s worthy of snark.
It’s also serious and dangerous
And it’s on tape

This is clearly a man who has spent a lot of time with mob bosses. NO ONE else talks this way. Hopefully, there is enough Democratic pressure in GA to force an investigation and prosecution.

The four minute set of clips posted by the Post are completely criminal. Time to initiate proceedings in the House – if it was the weirdness of a crazy neighbor you know is moving out in a few weeks, it would be one thing. This is more like if your neighbor is a Dow Chemical plant, and there was weirdness going on, then you’d be wise to actually do something about it.

On the contrary, teh Donald is shooting but no one is caring because he’s a has-been.

Pretty clear threats to a election official to commit election fraud, AKA a crime.

As far as I know, Raffensperger has never retracted his statement that he was proud of his vote for Trump.

Funny thing, Raffensperger has been very willing to help with voter suppression, did all he could to elect Cheetolini.

We are so far past irony, these days. Jan 20th cannot come too soon.

Anyone in Congress who persists in trying to keep this criminal office is equally guilty.

Trump Tries To Extort GA Sec Of State Into Overturning Results In Unhinged Call

THIS SHOULD BE YOUR BANNER HEADLINE!!!

The so-called “president” of the United States is attempting to extort the Georgia Secretary of
State into changing the certified results of the Georgia election. He is threatening Brad Raffensperger in the apparent presence of attorneys and other witnesses. This is criminal!

If nothing else, recognizing that Trump has already been impeached, there should be a vote for the immediate removal of Trump in the Senate by no later than Wednesday.

This is election tampering pure and simple. Trumpy should be arrested and tried. Georgia has counted the votes 3 fucking time and Trumpy has lost each time. The only election fraud being committed is by Trumpy himself.

Kyle Griffin (or maybe Kyle Cheney, I closed my tab) tweeted that that there are 2 GA statutes trump could be charged with. Yay for state criming !

P.S. is trump’s trip to GA tomorrow still on or…???
