About as close as you’d expect given how close control of the House is. The speaker vote was 216-209 and the overall membership is 222-211.

Oh that Trump – he’s a character all right. A disruptor.

…Dominion should be in the courthouse first thing tomorrow.

Along with the GA attorney general or one of his representatives.

Agreed.

Ah. Thanks. I’d better catch up. Was off for a while and just saw that tweet.

Only in the sense that Raffensperger (or anyone) could get into trouble if consent of all parties were required.

Mattis didn’t say shit until after the Battle of Lafayette Park forced his hand.

He didn’t say shit this time because of a notion that something might happen. You can bank on that.

How far along whatever discussions and draft orders got is certainly up for debate, but it’s very unlikely that there wasn’t some imminent event that almost happened that we just squeaked by without it showing up in public.

They didn’t need to get all that. We gave up the Kurds, and we’re tremendously weakened elsewhere. Very high ROI. Putin may not have gotten all he wanted in his wildest dreams, but he is very happy.

I hate that kind of message - wake up folks. What the fuck are we supposed to be able to do to stop something like that?

Frick & frack were at the NYE thing with, ya know, Vanilla Ice.
I don’t think i’ve seen the others since that silly photo of them on AF1 with the ballots.

The clown car that Trump sent to the Pentagon is up to something – and the career military who work there are no doubt more comfortable spilling up the chain of command than to the press. That’s the culture.

Ivanka and Jared, I suspect, are exploring their options for getting out of town and into Israel. That island buy off the coast of FL was a smokescreen, I bet.

For the two boys, I am reminded of the blessing given in ‘Fiddler on the Roof’

May God bless and keep the Czar far away from us!

Replace czar with Tweedledum and Tweedledummer.

I’m not sure what this amounts to, but this is a Republican congressman not on board with his Party’s latest shenanigans, though far from being reputable on voting issues.

Presidents do not prosecute anyone.
Ever.

And Biden is on record saying that he will not interfere with the independence of the Justice Department regarding who is or is not prosecuted.

Thanks for letting is all know that you’re a fair-weather Democrat.

O of course they were. I had already forgotten NYE. :joy:

If I were a former SecDef I think my strongest concern would be not that Trump will take over the country and rule as a despot, but that he’ll give some stupid order like that that puts the military in a huge legal and ethical quandary nobody wants.

No point, not enough time, distracts and gives him victimhood.

Prosecute him post 20th. Criminal investigations.

And hey, give Cruz what he wants, an Election Special Commission, but charge it with a review of interference and fact-finding covering Trump side as well. Examine both sides (pack R side with Never Trumpers too, give the anti-Trump Rs a knife to stick in the Trumpists).

Democratic Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) calls for criminal investigation of Trump Raffensberger call

This is one of the most reassuring things I’ve heard all day (hell, all year). That mollusk Durbin making noises about a criminal investigation?! Could this be an actual indication the Democrats have a plan to counter this seditious attempt to usurp our democracy, called “Doing Anything About It”?

Disagree that it’s necessarily that. Could be, sure.
