It turns out President Donald Trump made even more private comments acknowledging the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic to reporter Bob Woodward back in April.
I’m still here waiting for the magic show. I was told that it would disappear.

Not much “hoax” there.
While Trump lied to the public for months, Bob Woodward decided repeatedly, over those same months, not to air Trump’s private comments.
Those defending Bob may not be thinking about how they could have used Trump’s comments against him – and not for mere political advantage but to help save hundreds of thousands of lives.
It will, after a safe and effective vaccine is developed.
Once again, the President’s unfitness for office is completely clear. The Vice President, and his false religion that he wears openly, is also unfit. This also shows why the Republican Party needs to go - they had the authority (and mandate) to protect this Nation, and did nothing but attempt to use the President as a font for the enactment of their radical right-wing policies. We are at 195,000 US fatalities, with an estimate of 115,500 due to the President’s inaction. The fact that he knew what was happening only makes this worse. How these deaths are not criminal is something I don’t understand.

Of course to Trump panic is much worse then affirmatively telling people not to bother wearing masks and it will all disappear in a moment. Panic might cause the stock market to drop.
It doesn’t rip you apart so long as you remain separated by several yards between yourself and those you’ve assembled in close quarters for a rally.
People assume Benadick Donald is a fool and ignorant. But clearly here he displays understanding that reveals he is not so ignorant.
Benadick Donald is famously transactional though. So, what kind of deal was made for him to go about spreading lies about this coronavirus? What is in it for him and with whom did he deal?
One guess is went to the same characters as before, because they were the few willing to deal with him.

Panic was only in the cards because they didn’t have, and apparently wouldn’t come up with, a plan to deal with it. After they’d run Obama’s plan through the shredder.
The decisions made amount to criminal and willful negligence.

More & more it seems like instead of ignorant neglect … Trump was -tempted- actually drawn to opportunisticly capitalizing on this crazy pandemic thing … especially as it was initially being conjectured to be likely to be most harmful to the densely populated areas…
Sort of like if Trump had been informed that there was a viscious viral airborn type of rapid acting sickle cell disease that would spread like a wildfire in inner cities … Trump would do nothing to stop it … and would actually inflame it and he would manipulate the supply of life saving supplies inorder to make it as deadly as possible in the locations that he hated.
