Trump To SCOTUS: Woah, Let’s Just Slow Down A Little - TPM – Talking Points Memo

One might even argue that whether it’s raping women in changing rooms, raping girls on Epstein Isle or raping the criminal justice system…it’s always about getting Trump OFF…

Shorter Trump: Ack! Their position is more persuasive than ours. So,Justices, plug your ears as long as you can!

SCOTUS says they can’t get involved in state gerrymandering but I’m sure they’ll figure out a way to get involved in who can or can’t be on the ballot.

Delay is his only real defense. Delay and somehow get back into office then deep-six all of it with his promised newly minted dictatorial powers he promises to invoke and use.

Once again, Trump is reaching deep into the pool of strip mall lawyers for his legal team.

It’s not what they should do…but they’re doing it anyways.

Conservatives despise irony. They continually murder it, then kick its corpse.

Whoa he sez like he tells the court what they hafta do?
Fucker.

TRUMP IS NOT IMMUNE TO ANYTHING

Not even covid.
He’s not Superman
He’s a nut case in flesh
A malignant narcissist who thinks only of himself in the moment… never anyone else. Just him only.
This man should bever be elected to anything… ever.
And then I speak of him as a man…
You don’t wanna hear what I think of trump… the man. It’s not praise or happy thoughts. Not when he could not care less about the 800,000 dead of a pandemic he denied and called a hoax. And then refused any personal responsibility even though he was president at the time.

I was coming on here to say this exactly. I’m so tired of his dumb, victim-playing face.

Trump to Scotus on absolute immunity - slow down, there’s no hurry.

Trump to Scotus on petition to hear appeal of Colorado decision - hurry it up, expedite, expedite, expedite!

@txlawyer, if I may burden you for your insight…chances SCOTUS reverses Colorado’s ruling, in your opinion? Please and thank you in advance.

100% going to be reversed, 99% chance of it being done unanimously. It’s a classic “political questions” doctrine case that SCOTUS will dismiss and punt the disqualification decision to Congress.

And think of the underlying incentives here for the Court. The cons want trump on the ballot. The libs want democracy to be left alone. Nobody wants any of this being decided 51 different times.

Plenty of room next to Rush in this cemetery. Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

Huh?

This thread is about Trump claiming he has immunity in the J6 cases. Not about the SQ ruling in CO.

EDIT: I see albesure changed tracks in the thread.

Appreciated.

Yep. That’s on me. I wasn’t able to hop on when the CO ruling came down. Thus, I’m a late to the party with old news.

Next question: will Apollo 13 make it back to Earth safely?

While I empathize with your exhaustion, another way to think about Trump is as a constant reminder that our systems of government and citizenship are under assault: by authoritarian oligarchs from within, and by murderous foreign powers from without. Trump reminds us that we must be vigilant and that we cannot withdraw.

I reject this.

Ron Howard assures me it will.

One of the lawyers Trump added is Michael Talent, who believe is the son of Jim Talent, who was a US MO Republican senator from 2002-2007. McCaskill replaced him.

Isn’t he out of horcruxes yet?!?
