The most encouraging thing I have seen with respect to this Iran/Iraq debacle is the attention placed on Draft Boards, Selective Service, Military Service by some of the spoiled, distracted, inattentive and non-voting teens and twenty-somethings, who have traditionally left civic duty to the batshit-crazy delusions of FOX-addled Granny and Gramps.
If there had been a Military Draft, there would have been consequences for fuckers threatening war and there would have been no Trump in the first place.
With respect to the media: The Fourth Estate, unfortunately, does not operate in a vacuum. What if some of the aforementioned people paid as much attention to geography, culture, political structures, peoples, the relation of voting to policy as to the latest video-game?
The Fourth Estate (which has to pay people to function as reporters) would have responded. And I can assure you, if people start tuning away from FOX, or the idiotic sector of CNN and toward some of the still-remaining legitimate journalists, the political landscape would be much different.
And I sometimes have to keep from crying when I see what has happened to the smaller newspapers, as their circulation has withered.
Finally, my very words are, in a way, part of the problem:
People reading fewer Peer-reviewed articles instead of blogs in which a fucker can say what he wants. For all anyone knows, every word I have written has no relation to facts at all.
I can (non-peer-reviewed) say whatever the FUCK I want.

That’s how I got my own son interested in reading from an early age. It was through comic books that we went to the store to pick out on a weekly basis. He also was reading before kindergarten. He became quite the out-spoken little tyke too, which for as long as I can remember was a double edge sword.

Recall the US worked very hard diplomatically to keep Israel from retaliatory bombing during the Iraq War and Gulf War (?). Knowing that Israel fighting along side with the US would be the mother of all escalations as viewed by Muslims.
It seems pretty likely Trump will do the exact opposite and encourage Israeli to join in and fight Muslims together with the US military in the Middle East. Then what?
