Adam Schiff is reminding POTUS that obstruction and witness intimidation is impeachable.
He maintains a capacity to do great damage to individuals and the country. I’m going to be anxious until he’s gone. We’ve already abandoned the ME to Russia and China. Our State department is foundering, sections of land are being cleared for a useless fence. Pollution control regulations have been axed. The ACA is being destroyed. It’s remarkable that it’s inherent robustness has allowed it to survive so far. As long as the GOP is not contrite, Trump’s destructive propensities are checked only by the House. The real showdown is yet to happen.
There’s just been too much at this point. We’ve seen time and time again that when Trump says he’ll do a thing soon, it means he’ll do it never. It’s an empty threat. Trump tries to dominate with threats, like a gorilla, but he’s a coward and a buffoon, and eventually everyone learns the threats are meaningless. He’ll hurt the vulnerable where he can, but any antagonist with a decent amount of power can run him off. Look upthread, where Schiff just blew smoke right in his face: “This is just more obstruction, you dumb bastard. So keep it up.” PARAPHRASE ALERT NOT SCHIFF’S ACTUAL WORDS
