President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he’ll release information on Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, a major witness in the House impeachment investigation, that supposedly proves he’s a “Never Trumper.”
“We’ll be showing that to you real soon, okay?” the President said.
This is the same answer the Press will get the next time they ask, and perpetually thereafter.
Coming right after tax returns and Hawaiian birth certificate revelations…
Translation. “I got nothing.”
All I can say is that I am sick of Trump.
During a press gaggle outside the White House, Trump was asked if he had any evidence of his baseless claim that Vindman is a “Never Trumper”– the kind of Republican whom Trump has described as “human scum.”
I beg the media -please don’t fall for his game. It doesn’t matter if he’s a “never-Trumper”, a sometimes-Trumper, or always-Trumper. Only the facts matter here. Did Vindman tell the truth or not? Is Trump telling the truth or not? That’s the story. That alone. Everything else is misdirection. And I’m betting Vindman is the truth-teller here.
This is what the scumbag did to Pres. Obama with his phony, racist birther shit. I can feel it coming. And, to put a dot on it, who we vote for isn’t a test of veracity. The evidence speaks for itself and it’s about to tumble.
Trump when asked what proof he has that Alexander Vindman is a “Never Trumper,” cited the unqualified statement from the president of the United States that Vindman is a “Never Trumper.”
I did like the negotiation comment at the end. It may suggest he has moved towards acceptance of his fate, and now is trying to negotiate the terms.
Trump also wouldn’t rule out shutting down the government to hinder the impeachment investigation, which Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had raised as a “worrisome” possibility last week.
I don’t want him to do this, but if he does, I think we’ll see poll numbers approaching absolute zero.
Nothing screams innocence like shutting down the government to hinder legitimate investigations into your conduct.
“We’ll be showing that to you real soon, okay?” the President said.
“Just as soon as I get these gun safety proposals out the door. They’re a big priority for me.”

Look there’s only one way to deal with someone who thinks name calling is an effective tactic.
Call them names.
If Trump believes labeling anyone who pushes back on his agenda as a “Never Trumper” - it’s time we start using “Trump First” label. “Attorney General Barr, a member of the “Trump First” CULT…”

Just start using it in language and posts. If we’re ‘The Resistance’ then they’re “Trump First” or “Emperor Trump” acolytes. “Cult of Trump” “Trump Cultist” … you get the picture.

Negotiations mean compromise. Trump won’t compromise, and probably can’t in this case, since he’s open and shut guilty.
The only thing calling someone a “never-Trumper” does is increase his credibility 100%.
I wonder if threatening governmental staff is an abuse of presidential power. I wonder if threatening to shut down the government in order to stop an investigation into the president is an abuse of power. It would be great if Congress added this stuff into the charges, because they definitely aren’t the kinds of things a president should be doing while in office.
It’s pretty damned hard to libel two brothers like these two. Maybe Trump will reveal that they’re Jewish. That’ll show 'em. I’ve been called a commie for not liking Trump.
And if Vindman was a never Trumper or a Bernie Sanders Democrat, so what!
Which would be yet another impeachable offense in addition to the witness intimidation and tampering we are observing right now. Trump is self impeaching at warp speed.
