Watch out for wingnuts like Hannity or Ben Shapiro or Charlie Sykes coming up with fake information about Vindman’s past history and conduct. If Vindman so much as forgot to pay his paper boy, they will launch a major all out attack on Fox News and other wingnut sites. And if they find nothing, they’ll make shit up. Viz. HRC.

The people for whom this kind of thing is an abuse of power, a threat not only to the rule of law but to the idea of objective reality, people who think like that, they’re all on our side and have been from the beginning. It’s not that they don’t matter, but this doesn’t change anything for them.
But you think about all the GOP voters who didn’t want Trump but fell in line once he was the nominee. Taxes, judges, yadda yadda. They held their noses and voted for him. And they regret it now. Don’t think they aren’t out there. There are millions of them. And he seems ever more pathetic, incompetent, ridiculous, nuts, all of it. It’s just more inescapable every day. Every single person on this planet knows a bullshitter, a person who claims that he or she will do extraordinary things in the very near future and never quite gets around to doing them and has elaborate excuses why if you bother to ask. Those kinds of people get moved out of positions of responsibility if by some astonishing mistake they’re ever put in one. We have to work, we have to do our part, I was at a meeting where just that was happening yesterday. But he’s our not-so-secret weapon. He’s toxic, and the greatest threat since the Civil War or the Great Depression to the continuance of this republic. But he’s also a fucking loser clown. So praise the Lord and pass the ammunition. Of votes! Not real ammunition. Not going to be necessary.

How hard would it be for Trump to claim Lt. Col. Vindman did not really earn his Purple Heart? Or he could concoct a story that strips him of his citizenship. He is bottomless in his hatred for the truth and does this sort of swift boating all the time. But the reality is, Trump is probably just bull shitting because he’s got nothing.
