Former president Trump doubled down on Wednesday on his remarks about Ashli Babbitt, suggesting that there was no reason for her death and that the officer involved should be punished.

If he thinks the insurrection was so great, maybe we can get him to admit that he meant to incite it.
Now that Trump knows that talking about Ashli Babbitt gets him attention (and those addictive headlines!), he will never shut up.
Well, she was doing fatso’s bidding, so he has that.
Her death was unfortunate, but avoidable on her part.

I think there’s an additional reason. This is stochastic terrorism: he’s playing it so that everyone involved in defending the capitol, and/or in resisting his paramilitaries, has to be afraid of actually being lynched.
