Trump Takes Aim At Sen. Collins While Ranting About ‘Whistleblower Racket’

President Donald Trump singled out Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) while throwing a fit via Twitter on Sunday night after CBS aired a “60 Minutes” interview with Health and Human Services whistleblower Dr. Rick Bright.

Keep it up butthead. If you turn the MAGAT’s against Collins, you will guarantee she will lose in November.

I hope this doesn’t get her any sympathy. All she’s done is once again express her ‘concern.’ What does she plan to do about it? My money is on nothing.

How’s Collins’ upcoming opponent looking?

Consider Collins’ “concern” here, and the apparent publicity it is receiving, as a ploy. She’s going after people who’ve not been sure about her, but voted for her in the past? Hopefully, her opponent can get out an equally followed response, saying she’s doing too little, too late, etc.

I’m sure Sen. Collins has learned her lesson.

Gee - trump targets a woman for criticism - what a surprise. The only big difference is that most of the women he goes after have the spine and fortitude to push back - Collins won’t.

Be careful Senator - trump may decide he likes to publicly attack a woman that doesn’t fight back.

Added observation - notice that trump didn’t go after Mitt Romney even though Romney’s criticism was stronger.

Yet there is a piece in The Guardian this morning talking about Lehigh Valley PA where supporters say not enough credit for the pandemic response is given to tRUnip. That saying all was OK was just tRUnip trying to calm fears, damage control. Where they are still believing that tURnip is a great businessman and just his bad luck to bankrupt a casino and 5 other businesses. Can’t make it up, some people will never change. Of course some people never go to other places for information but those few that reinforce their beliefs. It appears that in 3+ years the talking points and perceptions have not moved a fraction of a percent. I fear that when people wake up they are so devastated that they just give up.

This just in: Sen. Collins has been upgraded from “concerned” to “very concerned”.

If she hasn’t, she will soon.

This whole thing is just unbelievable. We’re watching our whole system be destroyed, piece by piece, as trump attacks his own government, and there’s like nothing that anyone can actually do about it except wait for the election.

There is no way to get through to cultists. They are just beyond reason.

I’m very concerned that trump targetted Collins. I’m so concerned, my brows are furrowed. I think I may tweet something meaningless about it, and trump will learn a lesson.

This phrase is going to kill any more whistleblowing. As it no longer matters what a government employee knows or doesn’t know, they’ll just be retaliated against, the investigators fired, and nothing will come with it, people are just going to keep their mouths shut.

Our democracy is hanging by a single strand of thread right now.

Agree and in doing so he has left the door wide open for others to step into the worldwide leadership place the US used to occupy. tRUnip took some $400 million per year from the WHO in a snippet fit for example and what happens. Why China steps in and not just replaces the $400 million but doubles it. Merican exceptionalism and leadership is over and ain’t coming back, we appear to be a bunch of Chicken Littles.

China will provide $2 billion over two years to fight the coronavirus pandemic, President Xi Jinping said Monday, rallying around the World Health Organization and its efforts even as the Trump administration has slashed funding for the U.N. health agency.
