Trump Spox Sues To Block Jan. 6 Committee From Accessing His Financial Records

“the spokesperson argued that the committee’s request for his financial records showed “a lack of good faith.””

Hahaha…no…a lack of gullibility or credulity, maybe, but it would in fact be “bad faith” for the committee to just take any of these assholes at their word, sworn testimony or not.

Hmmmm…I seem to remember someone cautioning “trust but verify”…

Another frivolous desperation delay tactic. Let’s hope sanctions are filed and costs imposed on Bromwich.

I haven’t seen any actual proof that connects the dots between all these J6C lawsuits, and Chump’s PAC or RNC warchests. But I find it hard to believe all these separate people have the cash laying around to fund ‘dragging it out’ legal actions.

Probably dark money funding.

“However, not by the people who illegally entered the Capitol on January 6th, 2021, but instead by a committee whose members walk freely in its halls every day,” Budowich said.

Well, there was that ONE day when the members couldn’t freely walk the halls…

It’s almost as if Joseph Goebbels were running the GQP’s “messaging” on the January 6th Putsch.

And that’s part of the justification for rejecting any claim to Executive Privilege; it was a campaign war room (led by a sociopath who wanted to overturn a democratic election). Nothing done there was on behalf of the country.

Yes, it has been his MO since the beginning. He would scurry away from defeat back to his lair, and use the NY tabloids and media to declare HE WON for YEARS after everyone else had long since given up on giving a fuck. Probably the most relentless and most shameless charlatan and failure in all of history. Anyone else with a soul, and even a fraction of his track record would have slunk off the stage in hopes of never subjecting themselves to such humiliation again.

That is why he transcends most descriptions of narcissist or malignant narcissist…because (I have been told) humiliation and loss of face is the greatest fear and life-ending for the narcissist. Somehow, he got past the pain-point and lived in a time when mass-media allowed an individual (who possessed utter shamelessness and massive sociopathy) to turn the tables on crippling failures. All of it so wretchedly pathetic and meta-humiliating but he had the stomach for it, and it apparently wasn’t disqualifying to every single voting Republican in two elections.

Yeah, the Nazi and fascists sure can be very, very stupid.

But since slightly less than our fellows have less than average intelligence, what can we expect?

Budowich doesn’t LOOK like the type to have endless piles of money to throw at made-for-failure lawsuits. But I could be wrong!

I guess I can find one bright-spot…(although it is possible dark money IS truly endless)…BUT all the time/money that Chump and Comp have to spend on this stuff is money and time they don’t have for other things. And along with all the COVID culling, and massive grifting off of the Red Rube voters, at some point things are going to have to dry up for these vampires.

Funny, I’ve read about Trump and his pathologies for years and have only seen one description from a medical professional addressing his sense of reality, but he seems able to survive incredibly dangerous threats to his illusions about himself with what we’d simply call excuses and denial. He spins stories, cobbled together with Elmer’s glue and balsa wood, about how he won the election, he was a uniquely successful president, he’s had a fabulous business career, everyone loves him, he’s better-looking now than he was years ago (not a joke, he says this) and so forth. Things that might be true, in his fantasy world, are just as true to him as things that are really true seem to you or me. He’s fucking nuts, in other words. He’s not so much detached from reality as there are multiple realities, and he lives in the ones he prefers, and tries to persuade the rest of us they’re the real ones.

That’s more commonplace than people think. For instance, Adam Sandler probably tells people he can act. Davis Spade tells people he’s funny.
