Elon Musk is joining his space exploration and artificial intelligence ventures into a single company before a massive planned initial public offering for the business later this year.
His rocket venture, SpaceX, announced on Monday that it had bought xAI in an effort to help the world’s richest man dominate the rocket and artificial intelligence businesses. The deal will combine several of his offerings, including his AI chatbot Grok, his satellite communications company Starlink, and his social media company X.

He’s just spinning plates so he can win at being the richest man in the world after Putin - I would call it a dick-swinging contest but his dick is allegedly no longer functional due to a botched implant procedure.
He just wrecks businesses - TSLA is a corpse walking after squandering the lead in EVs and charging network (in the US at least) and is now running on vaporware, Falcon X and Starlink is an actual business, but AI is hot garbage and will take that down, too.
All AI companies are unprofitable and will never turn a profit, his is also crap so will lose more money than the others.

Not a Lawyer, nor do I play one on Tee Vee…… but CF-DJT’s actions on the Georgia case, and talking to the FBI is a gift to the Lawyers for the State of Georgia. And the chain of custody of the evidence?
I remember the good old days, when lawyers for Charlie Manson tried to get a mistrial declared because Nixon said he was guilty, and that was the headline in the LA Times. Which defense counsel just happened to have on their table so the jury could see it.
Seems so quaint, now.

This is not only stupid but very dangerous by TPM as it gives credibility to what Trump and Republicans are doing by making sound like there are good faith prosecutions that could come from any of this.
While Trump has already smashed all norms associated with the firewall that typically exists between the White House and the Justice Department, his reported direct communication with those investigating the 2020 election in Fulton County could raise future issues for any potential future prosecution, as the Times noted:
By speaking directly with the investigators, the president may have provided significant ammunition to any future defense should the investigation yield criminal charges.
His conversation with the agents would probably become part of an effort to have the case dismissed as a vindictive prosecution. Alternatively, if such a case went to trial, defense lawyers would presumably try to elicit testimony from the F.B.I. agents who spoke to the president in the early stages of the investigation, or possibly from Mr. Trump himself.
The fact is there will be no serious or good faith prosecutions. Therefore there is nothing Trump or anyone else could say that would affect “potential future prosecutions” because it is all, to use a legal term, bullshit on its face.

Couldn’t agree more. AI is the Emperor with NO clothes. NOBODY is actually making real money with AI. It is still practically useless as an economic proposition. Its real purpose is to fleece investors using ANOTHER Silicon Valley Ponzi scheme. When it collapses it might take the market with it.
Tesla is, indeed vaporware. When Musk chased Rawlinson off, Tesla lost the ability to build a real driver’s car. That ship sailed to Lucid Motors which is still trying to get off the ground, BUT makes the two best EV’s on the road (the “Air” Sedan and the “Gravity” SUV).
Cadillac now has a whole line-up of high quality SUV’s from the Escalade to the Lyric to the Optiq. ALL of them are better than a Tesla.
