The Trump administration has quietly decided to allow employers to import 65,000 extra H-2B visa migrants for jobs that would otherwise pay decent wages to ordinary American who vote in the midterm elections.
The visa giveaway is part of President Trump’s zig-zagging between the two sides of his coalition — the voters he needs on election day, and the business donors who provide the funds for political campaigns.
Meanwhile, the national media is ignoring the visa giveaway to business because it is focused on the left-wing street groups who are trying to block the deportation of criminal and wage-cutting illegal migrants from Minneapolis.
“They announced that they were going to release 35,000 [in December], but apparently business owners have complained, so they’re going to release all [66,000],” said Rosemary Jenks, founder of the Immigration Accountability Project
The administration is allowed to approve the extra 65,000 H-2Bs because of an influential caucus of Democratic and GOP members in Congress, which put the option into the federal budget last year. The extra 65,000 adds to the 66,000 H-2Bs annually mandated by Congress. It brings the annual inflow to at least 131,000 workers for 2026.
“That’s a massive number of cheap foreign workers competing with Americans for jobs and suppressing wages,” Jenks told Breitbart.

But it turns out that predictions of creeping authoritarianism both underestimated and overestimated MAGA. Almost everyone, myself included, underestimated how far MAGA would go in engaging in open violence and abuse of power against those it considers enemies. On the other hand, we overestimated the movement’s impulse control, its ability to mask its tyrannical goals until its power was fully consolidated.
It’s a horrifying picture. Yet the flip side of the naked extremism of the MAGA power grab is that it has produced a remarkably strong backlash. The size and determination of civil resistance to ICE has been incredible and inspiring, like nothing we’ve seen since the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s. Republicans are being punished at the polls: On Saturday a deep-red Texas Senate district that went Trump +17 in 2024 voted in a Democrat with a 15-point margin.
I keep asking two questions as ICE runs wild. First, what is the strategy here? How do Trump, Stephen Miller, etc. think this is going to work for them? Maybe their initial belief was that a display of force would shock and awe their opponents into submission. It’s not happening, yet they just keep ramping up the threats and violence, apparently not knowing how to do anything else.
The obvious answer is that there isn’t any strategy. These people aren’t evil masterminds — evil, yes, but masterminds, no. They’re just thugs too crude and undisciplined to control their own thuggishness. They were caught off guard by the strength of the resistance because the very concept of citizens standing up for their principles is alien to them, and they still can’t believe it’s real

Former US President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State, have agreed to testify in the congressional investigation into late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
It comes days before a vote on whether to hold the couple in criminal contempt for refusing to appear before the House Oversight Committee after a months-long standoff.
Bill Clinton was acquainted with Epstein, who died in prison in 2019, but has denied knowledge of his sex offending and says he cut off contact two decades ago.
It’s unclear when the depositions will take place, but it will be the first time a former US president has testified to a congressional panel since Gerald Ford did so in 1983.
On Saturday, lawyers for the couple made an offer for them to provide limited testimony that would have centred on a four-hour interview by Bill Clinton. But House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer expressed concerns that the former president would stonewall questions and run down the clock

I have been saying this for a long time.
And that is all they have now, making spectacle because they have no end point, no final accomplishment. There is no framework with a conclusion they are working from. They are just tap dancing away. And they may not even realize it.
They have told and retold themselves their myths about who the American people are. They are lost in it and realities are not allowed to break those myths.

As I recall, the judge in the case denied the motion for a mistrial on the basis that a defendant cannot get a mistrial on the basis of his own misbehavior. (Manson grabbed the paper and showed the jury the headline. As I recall, it was in the huge end-of-the-world font .)

Government agencies are always prone to empire building, and in kleptocracies (like this one) there is a lot of pressure on agency heads and sub-heads to build their empire. You can only rob your empire, even as you remember to pay tribute up the chain.
Martin could not collect the votes to become US Attorney for the District of Columbia. He was slotted into main Justice to head CF-DJT’s (unofficial) Office of Retribution. Because it isn’t an actual DOJ agency, he came under Blanche’s thumb, and Todd B was clearly not going to allow Martin to build himself an empire.
I’m not sure what happened, but clearly Martin pissed off Blanche for the final time and got his wings clipped. I’ve no idea what happens next.
