Trump Shatters Glass Ceiling Of Indictments For Presidents

“I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters,” he declared in 2016.

But he clearly didn’t believe this himself or why pay for Stormy’s silence?

It is Bragg who shattered the glass ceiling. Only he has had the courage to charge Trump for a portion of his rank and open criminality.

Unpossible. Way too short. :smiling_imp:

Please. Bragg had plenty of time to make his case, so when he was ready, he acted. Jack Smith is moving ahead at a pretty good clip, and Fani Willis is ready for step 2 and the choosing the next grand jury who will decide if Trump should be indicted. Again.

Nothing in US history nears the tumult of the charging and possible trial and conviction of a past president

… … … … … … …
I beg to differ.
I am old enough to remember August 8th, 1974 when Nixon announced he was resigning. I was in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico that evening when a Mexican friend of mine rushed to me and told me of Nixon’s speech. I could hear cheers erupt in the small village were I was as the news spread. I contend that Nixon’s resignation, still the only one in our history as a nation caused tumult equal in every respect to today’s happenings. The Goobers in that era went ballistic during the Watergate hearings until Barry Goldwater and some others went to Nixon and told him he was gonna be impeached if he didn’t resign forthwith. That was tumult.

It’s now time for my partial mea culpa. I’ve been harshly critical of Alvin Bragg and DOJ. I had serious doubts Trump would be indicted. I am delighted to say I’m wrong about Alvin Bragg. I hope very soon to say the same thing about DOJ.

Tonight I plan to drink champagne and eat Garrett’s “Chicago mix” popcorn in celebration.

Have a great weekend all!

Thank you for calling Max a companion and not a pet. I consider the word “pet” as pejorative as any swear werd one can conjure. Our critters are anything but objects we own. No, they are beings worthy of respect when earned. Even goldfish are not pets. Trust is earned and I contend that my hound Murphy earned it in spades. I grew up rural and my folks raised dogs for the show ring and for companionship. We had up to a dozen at any one time so I have experience with dogs (and cats). Murphy was in a class with only one other. My dog Ambrose was a Clumber Spaniel show champion. i showed him at Westminster in 1971 without his leash for which the show judge was duly impressed. He won Best of Breed that day and was close to the running for winning the whole shebang.

So when will a Mom in Florida object to Trump, and have him banned?

Many people are saying his Secret Service code name is “Obscene Mushroom”.

I rather doubt that Jack Smith is requiring Pence to testify to the grand jury just for the entertainment value.

He won’t be able to rant and rave while sitting in the dock, he’ll get removed to a private room by the judge. It’s gonna be a real test for him to sit there and keep his yap shut while prosecutors nail his bag to the wall.

That won’t stop him from grifting for it. The rubes can’t read anyway so it could be a pretty safe scam for Bluto.

The entertainment value is just a perk…

I’ve been assuming Trump will be required in the courtroom during various proceedings. Is that in fact the case?

Time was that I would be shocked to hear anyone make the kind of statement attributable to the NY Rethugs. Not any more. They are so totally “un-woke” that they have no idea at all what they are admitting to…bragging about!
