Trump’s Coronavirus Treatment: Here’s What We Know | Talking Points Memo

Since Trump is a proponent of eugenics and occasionally muses about the racehorse theory he’ll have to just prove to the world that he’s of sturdy stock.

Wait, the NYT is reporting he had a positive test before he went to Bedminster? Those motherfuckers! Am I reading this correctly??? He knew he was positive? How the fuck can anyone support this human excrement. Had to get that one last grift in. Jeez…

There have to be protocols in place for testing at the White House.
When we find out what those were, we’ll also find out when he should have been lasted tested before that. Then, someone has to come up with the results of those tests or an explanation of why they weren’t conducted.

Plus he was symptomatic at least a day before. He’s really the worst.

This is a worldview that requires Team Trump to be super-competent geniuses playing five-dimensional chess, just with less focus on rounding up Killary’s child sex trafficking cabal.

Simpler explanation for any testing delay: “I’m not taking the fucking test.”

I agree with Meadows. What’s the big deal about driving around unnecessarily with Secret Service agents? I mean, they’re only people, right? :worried:

Fair enough. Either way, it’s unconscionable. And there should be zero more debates, unless virtual, to include the VP one.

He might do better with this one because there’s no sense of punishing people for having sex. In this case people get sick if they do what the Republicans want.

100% agreed.

And, coincidentally, both result in positive tests!

A theory I read somewhere, probably here, is that he tested positive with the quick test before going to the fundraiser. Because it’s not as reliable as the PCR test, they had to do a PCR to confirm the results, but it takes longer to get the results back.

Because Trump is who he is, he went into reality denial mode and assumed the quick test was a false positive. So it was business as usual, including the fundraiser until the PCR results came in.

I dont want to confuse people.

Wouldn’t want there to an appearance of competence.

If pence is acting president and doesn’t shit his pants in public around people who can smell it. Some Repibs may come home in hopes Trump croaks.

I think he was just going to plow ahead regardless. It was only when a reporter found out that Hope had it that questions started being asked. If that hadn’t leaked, he may have just played business-as-usual and hoped he didn’t get sick

But he’ll have to swim against the MAGA-tide and all the bad messaging they’ve done for months.

And he will be seated at the right hand of Trump.

I think it’s more likely that Trump stayed in “I really don’t care” mode and went off to collect more “campaign” dollars he can redirect for his personal benefit.

The Secret Service has a long storied history of being mum about the presidents and families they protect. I think Ken Starr roped some in to squeal For them to come out and say that their lives are in danger because of Covid 45 is unprecedented.
