“Last week, Gustafson requested written answers from Dillingham about the circumstances of the data project and suggested she might seek to question Dillingham under oath as well. Dillingham has since clarified that work on the data projected has been ceased.”

Experts need to look at the current Census work and assess its flaws and decide whether to:

  1. Accept the Census as is,
  2. Fix any flaws if possible, or
  3. Redo the Census.

Field work was prematurely ended. In NM, Navajo counts were ongoing. Resuming field work in certain areas may be needed.

I was a Census enumerator who worked on parts of the Navajo res.

[That book is] by UT political scientist Tom Brunell, whose (provocative) argument is that the more ideologically homogeneous the polity (such as a Congressional district), the happier its voters are likely to be with their elected representative. Thus, when drawing political maps, the more “packing” of similar voters the better.

Counter-argument is left as an exercise!

It’s amazing how so many of these people were shoved aside or tried to find the right bureaucratic justification to implement what they knew was wrong. Trump’s inner circle and loyal henchmen just took over with lightening speed, and the worker bees were just too shocked and outmanuevered to respond.
