Trump’s ‘African-American’ Is Leaving The Republican Party

Gregory Cheadle briefly rose to fame in 2016 when President Donald Trump infamously singled out as “my African-American” at a campaign rally in an effort to prove he had support from the black community.

Interesting - how much play will this get? What impact might this have on the rest? I’m not in favor of a mass exodus just because one guy bailed, but could others, reading this, begin to question their own motives for staying GOP?

Dude’s a bit slow on the uptake but he finally got the picture.

“Cheadle told PBS NewsHour that he became disillusioned by what he called the GOP’s ‘pro-white agenda,’ and the party rallying around Trump after his marathon of racist attacks…”

Diamond and Silk will Trump Cheadle. Hell, they were even at Trump’s last Rally and Trump got a loud cheer for them when he called their names.

Who cares?

I’m just happy for this guy that he finally got it.

It’s beyond me however why anybody gives one flying fuck about the morons who suppot Trump and go to his rallies.

Before, he looked like some complex contrarian who had an ideological reason to back Trump.

Now, he just looks like a guy who is easily fooled.

Very true. They have winnowed down to people who are not really a blip on the radar.

“To stay on this ship now, as a black Republican, I couldn’t do it,” he said.

Kinda slow, the guy…

Maybe he can count, as long as we don’t go too high.

"Though Cheadle wouldn’t call Trump “racist” outright, he did say the President has a “white superiority complex”

Can someone dissect that for me? I keep seeing both concepts as one.

It’s a measure of how successful Republican propaganda is that people who are actively harmed by their policies, and their planned policies, continue to vote for them against the Democrats who have implemented policies that have helped them. I don’t know how we get through to people that the Republicans are willingly damaging the nation and its people, but that really needs to be a thrust in this election.
