There’s cotton left in the field, a mule yet to be put into the barn, and the night-fires waiting to be stoked up at the big house; but I, Gregory, have had my fill and I’m heeding the call of the Underground Railroad. Say “goodbye” to Mrs. Clueless Consort and the young Master for me. I hate to leave them on their own with Clueless Occupant, but what choice do I have if I want to cash in on the fifteen minutes of fame he accorded me?
I have to wonder if the district he’s running for would have a hard time electing a Trump supporting Republican. Cheadle is a real estate broker and most likely a die hard conservative. I’m holding my cheers until I see which party he votes with if he wins.
Added:
The 1st district is represented by Republican Doug LaMalfa. He’s held the seat since 2012. He’s running again. That means Cheadle will split the moderate vote as an independent and maybe peel off some Democrats… Yay!!!
Will the last African-American to leave the GOP please turn off the lights? Unless it was this guy, then it’s too late.
Did you know African-Americans who support Trump is a more exclusive club than billionaires among the population? At least, it feels that way.
OT, but has Donnie warned Alabama yet? I guess he’ll need time to alter the maps first.
Looks like Donnie’s gonna have to get a new Sheriff.
I thought his African American was Fred Douglas?
“To stay on this ship now, as a black Republican, I couldn’t do it,” he said.’
“However, my opinions on uppity women, the climate hoax, and sick people who can’t pay for health care are unchanged since my Republican days. Independent Party here I come!”
Though Cheadle wouldn’t call Trump “racist” outright, he did say the President has a “white superiority complex”
So he won’t call Trump a “racist”, but goes on to call him a white supremacist? What gives? Is calling someone racist worse or significantly different than calling them a white supremacist? Or is it just a distinction without a difference?
Well they tell me that they have defined the parameters of their impeachment inquiry.
It’s not a done deal, but the beginning of a start maybe?
California’s 1st Congressional District is represented by a Republican who won the district with 54.9% of the vote. Trump carried the district in 2016 by 19.4%. Cheadle’s 3rd party candidacy will probably have little effect on the Republican candidate.
One thing is for certain - this guy is either a useful idiot or just a dope if it took until now to realize Trump’s “white superiority complex”, despite still unwilling to call Trump a racist. To be willing to be known as Trump’s “African-American” is so demeaning as to be disqualifying for Cheadle’s abiding the description of him.
Otherwise known as Coal and Burlap.
And only 3 years late! I think that’s a new GOP speed record.
I added to my comment with that info and also the possibility he may help the Republican retain the seat by splitting the moderate votes. He may even peel off some Democrats. I’m not so sure of his motives.
“When trump did the first racist thing he ever did, just a few months ago, that caused me to leave the GOP. It has nothing to do with me trying to get a seat in California, nothing whatsoever. It was the racism that was not there until this year that made me leave.”
“Only to ten, Mudhead.”
and who the hell would vote for him… certainly no democrats; and those within the gop are still fully behind dotard, so they sure as hell aren’t going to vote for him…
maybe his mom.
Cheadle ran as a Republican in 2016 and drew 2% in the primary.
Those responsible for tokening the token, have been taken.
Not even remotely the same. A racist is someone who says that people of color are inferior to white people. A white supremacist is someone who says that white people are superior to people of color.
In describing Trump, I would start with “psycho” and then get more and more negative.
