Trump Revels In GOP’s Near-Unanimous Vote Against Resolution

President Donald Trump celebrated House Republicans’ allegiance in a tweet on Tuesday evening, after his party voted nearly unanimously against a resolution that condemned him for making racist remarks to four congresswomen of color.

President Trump, you disgust me.

I’ve got to figure that at least half of those Republicans voting against the resolution had to hold their noses while they voted. I’m sure they weren’t happy to have this guy celebrating their vote. He doesn’t know when to leave well enough alone.

This “Article” amounts to a retweet.

This is why the media wants another 4 years of Trump, literally retweet and collect add ad revenue.

If they keep protecting Trump they might just get themselves a War to cover… a sweet, sweet Pulitzer Prize generating War.

Yep, classic strong-man / dominance behavior: grind into their faces the fact that he owns House GOP. This isn’t celebration–it’s intimidation.

Being in detention suits him. He wears it as a badge of honor among his 4th grade pals.

That vote will make it easier for millions to vote straight Democratic ballots in the next election.

I don’t know anymore. The GOP has gotten pretty rabid over the past 10 years. I tend to think the 4 + Amash are as good as it gets. At first, I thought that maybe McCarthy gave the 4 repubs permission to vote this way because they were in vulnerable districts, but I discounted that because the GOP would want a solid front in this instance. In any case, I think you might be optimistic.

Not sure it made any difference. Not as though it’s news that Republicans are craven.

It’s not as though the passage of the resolution is really being covered, instead the hoopla about Pelosi’s speech and Trump’s response to the resolution are the story.

And the resolution itself was so long and unspecific to the vile “go back home” language that it hardly had meaning and was long enough I even had a hard time caring to finish it, and I’m a political junky.

Ab-so-fucking-lutely!

The feckless and lazy MSM is the problem.

They see their “jobs” as selling advertising, with the goal of getting promoted and making more money, not informing the citizens so they can make rational decisions about the direction of the country.
There is no more “Journalism” in the MSM, just “Info-Tainment”.

Thus the “TMZ-ization” of News is glaringly evident to the even the most casual observer and is the reason so many have attempted to get information from “other” sources; Facebook, Google, News Sites.
Unfortunately, these “silos” of Internet-curated information are in the business of exploiting their users (YOU are the Product), so all they get is whatever the site is being paid to provide, and they fall further into ignorance and confusion.

Trump:

“Also, this was the first time since 1984 that the Speaker of the House was ruled Out of Order and broke the Rules of the House. Quite a day!”

Obviously, and just on first principles alone, no one should believe a word he says.

But I know this: If Tip had been with us yesterday, he’d have been cheering Pelosi on.
