Trump Reluctantly Listens To His Lawyers, Cancels Press Conference On Georgia Indictment

Former President Donald Trump announced on social media Thursday evening that he will no longer hold a press conference or release his so-called extensive report that he claimed would refute the Fulton County indictment allegations against him.

I bet he was never going to have the press conference in the first place.

WTF is going on? Floriduh Fats is listening to his lawyers? Did the sun rise in the west?

This has a very “Obama birth certificate” vibe to it, no?

“I have the proof, but I can’t show you.”

I wouldn’t be the least surprised to learn that was always the intention.
Donnie got his jag of publicity and got to sow doubts and reinforce his lie. There might not even be a document and, even if there is, I doubt it’ll ever be filed anywhere.

So momentous a report he can’t release it to Politico or the Washington Post? You’d think these conservative papers would be fighting to get the story of the century.
But maybe they took a look at the Fox/Dominion case and decided to save a little money.

TFG has a limited imagination: this is just a reworked wrestling gag – “somebody hold me back or I’ll kill the bum!” – and the sheer, boring repetitiousness of his routine is what is bringing him down even among his fans.

Nah, “Performative Art” - TFG is bucking for an Oscar next year. It’ll be a Tragedy! A Comedy! A Surreal DocuDrama! Hell, with all the singing his minions are gonna do, it might even be the Best Musical of the year!

It’ll be the Biggliest Oscar Night Ever - He’s gonna Take Them All!

Of course he wasn’t. This was always just for public consumption and never serious. The headline about reluctantly listening to his lawyers is misleading.

What will happen if he doesn’t show up to be booked? I’m sure he’s considering this as a way to thumb his nose at Fulton DA Willis.

What will happen if he violates the terms of his bond release? He’s already violated the terms of his Federal release by attacking witnesses and the judge herself.

Isn’t he a citizen like any other citizen? There is nothing in the Constitution or on the law books giving former Presidents any special rights. Right?

He needs to get Sidney Powell to call out the Kraken!

Trump cited the enormous amount of documents the prosecution has included in the discovery phase as justification of asking to delay the trial for 3 yrs. How can Trump release his puny sized “irrefutable report”? He can’t. He is a loser. So he will just blame his lawyer and throw ketchup at his report, which is now likely illegible…

He gets arrested and driven to the arraignment.

Depends on the judge. So far, he’s been given unprecedented latitude in shooting off his mouth, presumably to avoid claims of politicized campaign interference. I think the courts are going to do everything they can to avoid pre-trial detention.

The streamlined J6 case in DC has the most leverage over him, with a threat of speeding up the trial date if he doesn’t comply. The GA case is much more complex, I doubt there’s much room to hold a speedy trial date over his head with this one.

Donnie, I think your lawyers are deep-state secret operatives. You shouldn’t listen to them. You alone can fix this! Strongly!

It will be filed in two weeks.

I thought it was a tell. Drumpf has never “reluctantly” done anything properly. Ergo, this was bullshit.

Does this mean he won’t be introducing his health care plan? Will this delay the beginning of Infrastructure Week?

I predict a lot of me, big strong men, will have tears in their eyes.

At the end of infrastructure week, right before he rolls out his health plan and accepts the first installment on the border wall from the Mexican president.

If he has the mother lode of all exculpatory evidence treasure troves, ready for presentation on Monday, why does he need three years to prepare for trial?

Trump attorneys are expected to meet with the Fulton County district attorney’s office early next week in order to negotiate terms of the bond package for the former president

Does the average perp in Fulton County get to do this? Two tiers of justice…

I’m surprised he didn’t put it on PPV for the grift.
