I’m convinced that 90% of the actions his administration has taken are the result of them reading this type of speculation in the press and saying, “huh, we could do that?”
The electric chair and firing squads? What? No cat ‘o ninetails? Racks? Iron maidens? Thumb screws? And for the armed services, plank walking for the navy, helicopter ejection for the air force and disruption for the army, but with tanks instead of horses?
Evil as fuck. And I haven’t started on the environmental despoilment.
Irredeemably corrupt. Irredeemably unethical. Irredeemably immoral. Irredeemably a petty, self-consumed person. Irredeemably inhuman. Irredeemably contemptuous of the law and the national interest. Irredeemably evil.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I know many of you can’t be with the ones you love today (I haven’t been able to visit my mom in L.A. for a full year now because she’s been on lockdown in her assisted living facility & it kills me every day but at least she’s safe & healthy) & I just want you to know how much I appreciate your sometimes maddening, sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartening, but always very real virtual selves.
Hey, this is all better than radical socialism—i.e., giving free money to “those people,” amirite? That’s the real kicker here - most of his voters think all of this is just great.
There’s something about the way Trump none-dare-call-it “dances” that would drive me into the arms of life-hating despair if I let it. Maybe several things.
On the other, slapdash rules may contain errors, making them more vulnerable to getting struck down in court.
About the only good news here is that you can bet on this happening. This is the Administration that needed at least 3 tries and a corrupt SCOTUS to enact one of their leading policy objectives early on - a Muslim ban. Which will be struck down by Biden almost immediately on taking office.
