Trump Races to Weaken Environmental and Worker Protections, and Implement Other Last-Minute Policies, Before Jan. 20 | Talking Points Memo

Never. They hung his fat ass over a gas station before he had the chance to pull a full Trump.

Those Italian partisans had interesting ideas.

… a change that would allow companies to sell more birds.

To “sell” more birds?!? What?

It would allow the companies to give the bird… to their customers and workers.

Like the baby gorilla he is. Biden can undo whatever mess Trump makes. Trump unknowingly set the standard and we can now use it against him. Actions have consequences.

The sound track is a far better tune than Trump deserves.

But for all the friends here, a Thanksgiving wish from me in also better music than Trump would ever deserve. Bittersweet, yes. But so is 2020. Blessings.

I hope President Elect Biden understands his message of unity is being sabotaged daily by Trump.and his cronies. And the Supreme court is doing their thing under the cover of darkness.
And on a brighter and more hopeful note I too want to wish those here a Great Thanksgiving and continue educating us all all with your great insights . And I can only say,DON’T BITE YOUR FINGERS.

Very seriously - does anyone know the “look-back” period for revoking Executive Orders ? 60 days ? 90 days ? …30 days?
I seem to recall there being a swift way to un-do a lot of slap-dash last second stuff.

Precisely. It may take some time to do it properly, and legally. But, for example, a business owner would have to be an idiot to start polluting, knowing full well that tighter regulations were coming in a few months.

And on the “new rule” front (as opposed to relaxed requirements), the incoming administration can elect simply to ignore the new regulations. “Oh, you mean we can auction off drilling rights on the National Mall? That’s wonderful. We’ll get back to you on that.”

And pretty much every Federal contract includes a “termination for convenience” clause. The government can cancel any contract, for any reason, or for no reason at all. They do have to make the contractor “whole,” but that doesn’t mean they have to cover his anticipated profits.

That’s good, because thankfulness is now mandatory, per SOROS policy.

Probably mainly to indulge his sadism and pay off a few debts but he is also showing what can be done.

Let us hope that the thin margins represented by narrow electoral victories persist as there is one truth that seems inescapable now: for at least the next decade and possibly two, opposition to the political forces Trump represents must win every cycle because those forces only need to win once for meaningful political cycles to end.

Trump was as self-indulgent as he was incompetent but he outlined the path to full oligarchy and it would be foolish to imagine those who approved were not paying attention; e.g., Did American democracy really hold? Maybe not.
