Any bets on when he tries to pardon his own fat a–?

I wonder if Mr. Trump intends to issue these pardons free of charge?

He has to pardon the traitorous felon so he can be hired as an disinformation news anchor for Trump TV nightly fake news.

Surprised the parade of pardons has not yet happened.
You know his list of very fine people.

IANAL, but @lauferlaw on Twitter thinks this will blow up in Donald’s face:

I saw Adam Schiff talking about it on CNN about 20 minutes ago, and he said he didn’t think that would hold up in court. Of course, we’re obviously talking about the SC, so all bets are off, but I’m not sure even this crowd wants to hand every future president a stay out of jail card for literally any federal crime.

Schiff was the first person I’ve seen push back on the legality of the pardon, but someone on Cole’s site said other legal eagles have weighed in on it.

It’s ok to not be a lawyer when you’re citing a lawyer.

So basically, even though he’s too stupid, ignorant and mentally defective to grasp it, he’s admitting that Flynn is a criminal who committed federal felonies. That’s what a pardon is, an admission of guilt. You can’t pardon a non-crime. It’s basically like a guilty verdict without a punishment, except the verdict is thrown out too. But it’s always there, in asterisk form, and EVERYONE knows it. Now watch Flynn run for office from some bullshit white trash district and win. That’s what deplorables do, deny reality so they don’t have to face their own incompetence, idiocy, backwardness and vileness. Voters AND leaders. The modern GOP is based almost entirely on white supremacy, corruption and cultural warfare.

Have you SEEN our court system?

I’m sure once pardoned we can count on the House to subpoena Flynn to testify about his crimes, and any Trump involvement in them.

After Pelosi thinks about it awhile. And investigates. And confides with Jerry Nadler. And severely narrows the scope of the inquiry. The porridge will have to be the right temperature. AND NO PEAS UNDER THE MATTRESS!!!

Ooops, it’s getting close to the midterms. Have to concentrate on them. Never mind.

I think it goes even a step deeper than that. I think that, like Roger Stone, Flynn has things on Trump that are so bad Donald will do anything to keep them concealed.

Not Flynn, Putin. He’s got shit on everyone.

I expect he’ll pardon his kids Uday, Qusay, and Slagathor, plus his spawn-in-law Moloch. Then all the people who have been loyal to him the whole time, like Cruella DeVos, Mein Miller, and AG Droopy.

Then any other white person who’s said nice things to him. Just in case. I hope you behaved yourself, Ben Carson.

That will make it all that much sweeter when Cyrus Vance throws the whole coven in the state pen.

Trump will only do this if it benefits him. Flynn could be forced to testify regarding Trump’s involvement in Flynn’s illegal acts – no more pleading the 5th if he is protected from prosecution.

They’ll admit nothing and claim he was wrongfully prosecuted. On the other hand, the House can subpoena him and refer charges to the DOJ if he lies to them, so he either tells the truth at that point or effectively turns the clock back to early 2016 without the benefit of a friendly DOJ.

Please proceed, prez.

Pardons for the cronies, “law and order” for the rest…

Is there much if any case law on corrupt pardons?
