Trump Makes Last Strike In LA: ‘You Got To Give Me A Big Win’

Notice how the narcissist says it’s a win for him, and not for the GOP candidate he purportedly is helping.

Let’s hope Democrats take this to heart and turn out in massive numbers on Saturday. Another defeat in a deep red state would be delicious.

The Imperial Presidency in action. I am rather gobsmacked by the idea that the president can invoke someone else’s absolute immunity, immunity that the president has himself created, and claim that it would supersede the orders of a court. The entire notion of immunity generally is misplaced. The immunity of a president during his time in office is personal to the president in recognition of his position and the demands of office. It doesn’t have a penumbra, or shadow, that covers the acts of anyone in his sphere.
Could it be that they know diplomatic immunity precludes the prosecution of recognized diplomatic personnel, not just an Ambassador, and are attempting to extend this notion to internal executive immunity that would similarly bar prosecutions? Of course that would require a complete lack of understanding about the basis for diplomatic immunity, but that wouldn’t be surprising.

Does anyone think New York (Cuomo) will let him walk. I don’t.

My happiest fantasy (I even dreamed it one night) is that he defects to Russia.
I would so enjoy hearing the RWNJs try to spin that.

This contest is close. The Democratic governor is consistently polling about 2 points better than the Republican, but it is close, and the outcome will depend on turnout. By Trump nationalizing the race Republicans are gambling they will see a net positive turnout for Rispone. The danger is Trump’s appearance might encourage some Democrats who would rather stay home Saturday find their way to the polls to vote for Edwards.

I sure do. The local roads were clogged with buses filled with illegal voters.

True but this is also a red state, so if they get 60-70% no problem which is to be expected, less however… My first thought was not that tRUmp was asking for the win based on the candidate but rather another, me, me, me, me.

Actually that sounds like a nice idea, flood the WH with get well soon or sympathy for your loss cards.

It reminds me of Jeb Bush’s “Please clap.”

I don’t know. I’m thinking it’s possible that Trump learned the word to describe his father. Or learned it from his Scottish mother argung with his father: “Don’t you be haranguing me, ye oafish damned cockwomble!”

I’d have to learn the language of Cthulhu to post my true feelings about Trump, and I’m just too lazy to do that.

“What a life I lead,” he said at one point of the impeachment inquiry. “You think this is fun, don’t you?”

The most self-pitying man who ever held office. Just think how much easier his life would have been if he had an ounce of integrity."

You expressed it better than I.

People who compare Trump to a king are flattering him way too much. That’s how Trump wants to be perceived.

Trump’s behavior is more like that of an upper-managment mob thug, ordering smear campaigns, scams, grift, theft, tax-evasion, money-laundering, kidnapping, sex-trafficking, torture, and murders on behalf of his foreign mob boss.
