Jim Troupis, one of the Trump campaign lawyers seeking to throw out tens of thousands of 2020 ballots in the 2020 election vote recount in two deeply blue Wisconsin counties, unveiled a head-scratching gambit on Sunday.
The thing about money is that there is always someone who will wish to get paid to do whatever.
And the worst thing is that, even for someone turning down the cash and âdoing what is rightâ, what he/she turns down will be done by (a greedier) someone else anyway.
That transactional landscape is Donald Trumpâs.
We are going to have to deal with a lot of damage from the Trump Era. This is just one more example.
As he was explaining to Wisconsinâs Dane County Board of Canvassers why in-person absentee ballots ought to be deemed illegal and thus invalidated, Troupis presented a list of those who had voted with those ballots-and then admitted he himself was one of the voters who had done so.
IANAL, but if the court buys his argument that in-person absentee voting is illegal, does the above admission mean he could be prosecuted for knowingly voting illegally?
