To be fair, I don’t think Hillary Clinton would have gotten any Supreme Court justices confirmed, since Republicans still controlled the senate in 2017. Kennedy wouldn’t have retired if Clinton were president and Republicans would have won the 2018 midterms in a landslide, further cementing their senate majority and leaving RBG’s seat open. And Hillary Clinton probably would have lost in 2020 due to Bill’s connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
What really hurt Democrats was RBG’s refusal to retire in 2013 after Obama won reelection and Democrats still controlled the senate. That was a true game-changer.
