‘Pro-Mom’ Virginia Foxx Outed For Voting Against WIC Funding | Crooks and Liars
By Conover Kennard — January 17, 2024
80-year-old North Carolina Rep. Virginia Ann Foxx probably left a mark on her legacy by childishly shouting at a reporter who was asking a legitimate question last October, going as far as to tell the journalist to “shut up.” Still, she couldn’t hush Democratic Rep. Joe Neguse—instead, Foxx feigned memory loss over her vote against WIC funding, along with 190 House Republicans. WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for Women, Infants, and Children, and 190 pro-life Republicans voted against funding it. Neguse was calmly all over that.
“There might be information on food pantries, for example, if a student needed that kind of help,” Foxx said without telling anyone to shut up this time. “There might be information on pediatricians who are in the area.”
“Let me follow up on the food pantry,” the Democratic lawmaker said.
“Anybody can think if you have a baby, what kind of resources do you need?” she said.
“Sure,” Neguse said. “With respect to the food pantry, it is a good example. I went online.”
“Of course,” he said. “The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. It is the number one resource on this website that I went on.”
“My understanding is that House Republicans, 190 of them in this Congress, voted to rescind $500 million in WIC funding,” he continued. “Do you recall that vote back in September?”
“Not in particular the numbers or anything about the vote,” she lied.
"I can represent to you that in September of last year, 190 House Republicans voted to rescind $500 million in WIC funding," he calmly shot back. "That included you as well."
Kayleigh McEnany Finds Herself Praising VP’s Pro-Women Message | Crooks and Liars
Adding the caveat that she “disagrees with almost everything” the vice president said, McEnany proclaimed that this “was one of her better interviews when it came to style.” She also claimed that Harris is “clearly doing some sort of media training” and has been “deployed” by the administration to appeal to women and young progressives.
“She’s on a show whose audience is mainly women. She brought up abortion again and again and again,” the former Trump spokesperson continued. “Even when she was given low-hanging fruit—she was asked about January 6 and the 91 indictments against Trump—she pivoted right back to abortion because she knows what is true. The GOP has lost every single abortion ballot initiative post-Roe. Every single one.”
McEnany… Compassion, In Florida that raped 10 year old will have that baby but she will pay no tax on diapers
SEE what a trade off
" A match made in Heaven" they say. Something not getting much press is the obvious… Alina Habba is all about Alina Habba and like her client she sucks at what she purports to be. She’s Trump in heels and a dress. All about herself. Using a person to gain a rung on the ladder.
I admit, I am “that” sister.
& you all!
Stop the Stall.

Alina Habba seems to be a prime example of why you shouldn’t view hiring as casting for tv, choosing the person based if they resemble your ideal of that position looking like. Of course, as TFG is the worst client ever to roam the Earth, with a reputation for stiffing his attorneys, he is lucky if anyone would represent him, let alone someone good.
Alina Habba symbolizes the sort of incompetent, poorly-educated bottom-feeders in law, academia (John Eastman), political celebrityship (Giuliani) and so forth. They’ve hitched their wagons to Trump because he’s the only one who’s ever going to give them a prestigious job.
Look at Tacopina and Epsteyn: they don’t exactly remind you of Perry Mason. They’re practically caricatures of mob lawyers:
Habba is auditioning to be T rumpp’s 4th wife.
I want Democratic ads focusing on this in the appropriate places, just as I want Dem ads talking about how the GOP has been foot-dragging on the farm bill, defense, and pretty much everything else. It may not move the needle much, but it should be in the conversation: “Your rep voted against …”
Are we looking forward to another homely little bundle of joy?
It’s good to know that TMFWWNBN can’t find a competent lawyer to work for him.
This will be especially nice when he’s criminally tried.
Iceland has long been on my bucket list to visit. Try to persuade my wife though…
It was a visionary move from Trump to try to buy Greenland, People in Florida and Louisiana will need relocation soon. Although there is still hope, now that we are doing away with Chevron, industry experts as opposed to unelected bureaucrats will be self-regulating and surely reverse the climate change.
Greenland Is Sending Out A Warning
The Greenland ice sheet is melting faster than previously thought, according to a new study that finds previous analyses underestimated the loss of ice by as much as 20 percent.
