Originally published at: Trump Is Almost Certainly Referring to This Dr Phil Project With His Claims of ‘Oil, Gas and Mineral Exploration’ in Greenland
President Trump made one key motivation of his imperialistic ambitions in Greenland clear in a Truth Social post early this morning, claiming that a “massive oil, gas and mineral exploration” was set to begin in “our new and beautiful Greenland!” He is referencing the paltry-for-the-U.S. security deal that he was able to eke out of…
Me thinks our CF does not know how to read carefully and/or he needs hearing aides. Dr. P probably told CF he was on his way to Greenland to begin filming. CF - hearing only what he wants to hear - heard drilling. They don’t have permission to do anything. Push back Denmark !
“There are Experts that are saying that the amount of easily available Oil is far greater than that of almost any land, anywhere in the World”
–Donald Trump
Everyone in the world knows Trump is lying.
Republicans, it’s not okay.
Media, it’s not okay.
Well, Bob Price! We’ve been tagging along with you. We’ve noticed that you’ve been hanging out a lot with your new best friend ‘Dr. Phil.’
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:
How’s that working out for you, Bob?
Denmark and Greenland would be smart to revoke every license, drilling right, contract, agreement, pinkie swear, you name it, and ask everyone associated in any way with trump and Big Corporations to get the hell out, and don’t let them back. If they don’t they’re going to be drilling and test welling every inch of Greenland, and send all that beautiful ice into the ocean.
You can bet your bottom dollar that Cheeto Mussolini has his fingers in that Greenland “pie.” After all, the boss must wet his beak!
Donald Trump is to Mar-a-Lago what Jim Jones is to Jonestown Guyana. Purple Kool-Aid, anyone?
Among Republicans and conservative Independents, 43% of those surveyed believe we have “about the right amount” of economic inequality, compared to 42% of the group who say there’s too much, and 12% who say there’s … too little. Democrats and liberal-leaning Independents overwhelmingly believe there’s too much inequality rather than just the right amount — 78% to 7% — while 14% of them apparently think we need a little more.
So, restating those results slightly, about 1 in every 8 people surveyed didn’t understand what “income inequality” means.

That sounds about right.
He is referencing the paltry-for-the-U.S. security deal that he was able to eke out of Greenland and Denmark last month, which Trump has hailed as some sort of victory for his longtime vision of the U.S. taking Greenland under its control.
Making a deal with Donnie is like inviting a vampire in to warm up by the fire.
It’s impossible to know when Dear Leader’s trying to make a sale or believes his own hype.
Great cat pic. tho!
Yes, they need to keep an eye on Donnie and his allies.
Those friezes from the Bonwit Teller building were supposed to go to a museum and the East Wing of the White House was demolished without notice.
So I just glanced at the pix and wondered why do that have a pix of the Pope about to slap TFG? Not that there’s anything wrong with that of course…
I’m more cynical than you. Can’t help but think that many of these folks understand inequality quite well. They want more of it to ensure their enslaved labor supply.
Probably won’t effect Zacharia’s (lack of) longevity in the administration, but it is worth noting that the terms “lawyer" and “attorney" are not synonymous, though they are often presumed to be. A lawyer is someone who graduated from law school and received a j.d. An attorney (at-law) is someone who is licensed in a specific jurisdiction to practice law and represent clients in legal matters. Zacharia apparently is a lawyer; she is reported to have graduated from Pepperdine Law in 2011. So far, all indications are that she is not an attorney.
That rare thing - a difference with a distinction. A rather important one it would seem. Thanks.
Which one of us is more cynical may be an open question.
It’s just that, in my experience, “ignorant rube” is much more broadly represented than “evil mastermind” in the general populace.
Of course, there are also those who are morons but think they’re evil masterminds…
I’ve edited Josh’s assessment of Katie Zacharia’s claims about her legal career to apply to anything anyone in the Trump administration says:
It turns out that basically everything … [is] either misleading, false and in the case of … [the policies they implement] possibly even criminal.
There are disturbing undercurrents of something, something National Security, US forces and bases in Greenland. They won’t get permissions, but when has that ever stopped them.
The Russian attacks on Ukrainian oil infrastructure are ominous for Ukrainian civilians over the approaching winter. And Trump has interfered with what intelligence Ukraine has to defend itself as Russia gets more aggressive. It’s infuriating.
