Trump Is Almost Certainly Referring to This Dr Phil Project With His Claims of 'Oil, Gas and Mineral Exploration' in Greenland

At his Montana rally yesterday, Trump claimed he had brought inflation down to 1.7 percent from 19 percent. Such bespoke reality claims would be unlikely to avoid pushback from even the party faithful in most countries (even Putin or Xi wouldn’t pull such nonsense), but somehow there is category of Americans, who, although they know the price of gas and eggs, have only a scant idea of how the economy works or where the Money River is. Fake it till you make it. The US is the only advanced economy that does not guarantee workers any legally mandated paid vacation or paid holidays by federal law.

Bloomberg, same day:

The prices Americans are paying for goods jumped in September at the fastest pace in five months as accelerating inflation intensifies the affordability issue ahead of midterm US elections. Consumer Price Index data showed gasoline climbed 9.1% in September from the prior month…. An unexpectedly sharp increase in consumer prices reinforced Wall Street expectations of Fed action, in turn curbing investor appetite for riskier assets…. CoreWeave Inc.’s bonds hit levels that usually signal distress. Its chief said the market is acting “irrationally.” A closely watched measure of semiconductorpowerhouses such as Nvidia Corp. and Broadcom Inc. extended a six-day drop to about 12% amid mounting concerns about higher rates, lofty valuations and the massive cost of building artificial-intelligence infrastructure.

Here’s a free link to the NYT article on her legal beagle claims (email may be required):

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/10/14/us/politics/trump-press-secretary-katie-zacharia-lawyer.html?unlocked_article_code=1.I1E.NdvI.v0fIGTDjeMf_&smid=url-share

Trump’s New Press Secretary: Not-Quite Attorney at Law

Katie Zacharia told The New York Times that the confusion over her legal credentials was the result of one big misunderstanding.

TL, DR version: She took the CA bar exam but failed and apparently didn’t repeat it, or take it anywhere else. She was told by Pepperdine law school that it was okay to call herself a lawyer, but not an attorney (it was Trump who called her that).

She called herself a “general counsel” for a rightwing CA organization, which experts have said is not legit if you’re not an attorney, the subject of a complaint just filed by a group to the California State Bar association. The China stuff is sketchy as hell, where she was apparently just a paid intern for a Chinese law firm.

The entitlement is hard to fathom. She should go with, “I’m just a Mom”, and sneak back into the shadows, raise her kids and STFU. I’m sure narcissist fits in here somewhere (bordering on delusion). And tomorrow it will be victimhood. And of course, when having healthy kids, a husband, and being rich isn’t enough.

Wind burn, while swimming. This can’t be real.

Google Lens says it “stitches together or transcribes remarks from Trump’s campaign speeches,” so without digging further I’d just call it fake.

Even small talk on the possibility of a moratorium on data centers alone, never mind inflation, debt, and oil prices, could bring on a recession. These fuckers on Wall Street are so heavily invested in AI with no way out. They think they’re riding the perfect wave.

I watched most of his Montana speech last night and this didn’t come up. Thought maybe I turned it off too soon.

Where Denmark saw an inch, Trump saw a mile.

Goes back to 2022 or 2023 - female swimmers get ‘windburn’ from much faster trans swimmers - and in this case, obviously more than one of them - power past them. And still tie for 5th place.

He’s been all over the place dragging out the old stuff and adding it in, but this could just as well be a fact check from any one of the times he’s said it.

Last nights speech was an odd blend of old and new. He can’t really “weave” anymore just stream of consciousness.
