Ivanka Trump sat for a deposition on Tuesday in the D.C. attorney general’s investigation of financial improprieties at President Trump’s 2017 inaugural celebration, a court filing shows.
This is “tip of the iceberg” stuff. We are going to be appalled when the real criminality is revealed. P.S. That photo of Ivanka makes me want to vomit.

Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing it now so that it’s not done under Biden and whoever he appoints as the DC attorney. That way the Trump toady there now can just take it easy on them.
We’re going to spend the next four years (and beyond) shoveling through the shitpile of criminal activity surrounding Crime Family Trump and their minions.

Given the number of events that were held in or catered by The Trump™ Organization, at suddenly elevated fees and rates, there should be lots of evidence of self-dealing, too.
This and many other investigations need to tie up Trump, Inc.© for the foreseeable future - and maybe even disqualify him from running for office again.

Since lawyers during depositions often ask lots of questions they already know the answer to this could get quite interesting. Sure hope Vanky did not lie about anything. Only kidding. She is a Trump so she lied. It is all they know how to do.
This really was the first red flag of how Trump intended to use the presidency for his and his family’s financial benefit. There’s far more of this, I bet a lot that we don’t know about…financial crimes are boring but they should be investigated, if only to make it clear that the presidency should never be used as an ATM. You can bet that there will be a bill codifying that the things that happened during the Trump administration are not allowed…Republicans will vote for it quietly or after 2024, simply because they still fear Trump’s base.

Trump grifted from billionaires and Russian oligarchs on his way in, from the rubes in his base on the way out, and from everyone in between. Under his leadership, the White House has become sleazier and more sordid than a Nevada brothel. And that’s before the Coronavirus hit.

Hardly. “fair market rate” was just code for colluding with the other area hotels to quadruple prices for the inauguration. Fairly standard practice. Only reason for her to use the “market rate” terminology.

“Negotiate” a fair market rate.
Why not just charge your usual and customary rate, adjusted for a big event? I’m sure there’s a list of prices that do not need to be “negotiated,” especially since it’s Trump’s hotel and his big fucking event. “Fair market rate” = charge 10X the usual inflated rate - after all, it ain’t our money (except the huge profit and kickbacks going into our corrupt pockets).
And the subject line “Buyout minimum”? Makes me want to see the email from Damelincourt that she was just seeing.
It’s a safe bet damned near every vendor and contractor overbilled for services, and kicked back the excess under the table to Trump, personally. Trump probably pocketed $20>$30 million off the top.
