A pardon, money and a free hat!
“The amount of money the government will pay the Babbitts is unknown; attorneys only said at the hearing that all counts of the wrongful death suit would be covered by the settlement, and declined to disclose terms.”
And of course, there’s an issue here - as a citizen and a taxpayer I’m curious what sort of an award the grieving family pocketed. Possibly it becomes known after judgment is entered.
But once upon a time, at least, the idea of government settlement amounts being public had bipartisan support.
And all it takes is one cat to show these two who’s the boss.
“…and starring as the Pope…”
It would be somewhat different if Bill Maher or Marjorie Green did it. They’d be fools acting foolish.
Trump is the literal epitome of evil.
I did not know that “what our Founders had in mind!!!” was an idyllic life in a crime free Eden. To assure us of this heaven on Earth the government has to be able to act quickly without impediment, which is why the Constitution does not prohibit unreasonable searches and seizures, or require warrants, indictments or due process of law, or guarantee the right to a public trial where the accused will be informed of the accusation, be entitled to be confronted with the witnesses against him and obtain witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
Shorter version: Trump is a total dumb fuck.
And the ceremonial accoutrements and antiques.
Jeez. You had me wondering there for a minute…
Something about excessive fines and cruel and unusual punishment, also too.
A well-stoked censer might not be such a bad thing in his case.
Complementing him again?

Re “happy hour at the retirement community,” here at the home we also have a happy hour which immediately follows the monthly meeting during which residents can make suggestions (complaints!) for the CEO to address. A wise person is clearly in charge of scheduling.
I take no joy in his passing, noting only that the world is a better place without him. I’ll save my prayers for his victims.

I spent years taking much needed assistance in the form of fruits and veggies to seniors (like me) in a retirement/assisted living complex of apartments. Due to spine issues I do book keeping, scheduling and phone calls to these folks now. Having seen a retirement community right up close for years I would NEVER want to live in that place. I’d prefer to keel over in this house where we raised a family and lived for nearly 50 years.
Just sayin’
This is not what our Founders had in mind!!!
Says the prez who has no idea what is written in the Declaration of Independence!

He thought it a document of happy unity when in polite language the authors tell George III why he should fuck off by listing his fuck ups.

I guess the only thing consistent that DonOLD knows is how to hold a grudge.
The CF really does have a sore loser complex and holds a grudge forever.

We should never say anything bad about the dead. David Horowitz is dead. Good!
