Rupar posted the first instance that I saw yesterday evening. Trump ain’t going away and unfortunately for all concerned, he’s newsworthy and the newsmedia is highly centered on visual imagery. TPM is not an outlier and many folks like their “illuminations” I’m fine with pictures of Trump, but then again, I have been known to photograph road kills.
He has no filters, no one jumping in front of him. This is how he thinks of religion. Catholic or not. He does not take the underlying intent of a person having a faith with any seriousness. Hence he can toy with anyone’s faith without remorse or embarrassment. But his MAGA sycophants do not see that, cannot imagine he can be that way. He is anointed.
I have words, evil, nasty and obscene words meant for one existing human. Should he see them they would have an effect and ICE would shortly be shattering my front door. No need for my passport or birth certificate. It would be off to CECOT for me as a White guy. I’ll keep them to myself.
It’s intended as a deliberately ambiguous statement. One that the language purity police can’t object to. One the shamelessly pious can attack only by attacking themselves.
We can say something like that about the most despicable people, and carry our own understanding of what we meant. The right has been redefining words and phrases for at least 4 decades. We should fight for ours and subvert theirs.
I hear you. I’m trying to find ways to express the loathing without getting detained as well. Hence the use of Bottom. If asked I’ll say it’s because he was a weaver.
But in the words of Bottom, and in regards to his residency. The flowers of odious savor sweet.
Once early in the morning while driving from rural Pennsylvania to NYC, I saw a dead deer laying directly beneath a roadside sign for a company named Deer View Homes. I did not have a smartphone at the time, and I was in a hurry. I still slap myself. I could have gone viral!!
We’re both too old and gristly to be useful as targets for dominance projection, Darr. So go ahead and use your words, evil, nasty and obscene though they may be.
