We’ve already filed to impeach him, but we need to stop him before he rules against us any more!
… to Suspend Judge Boasberg
Ratcheting up President Donald Trump’s assault on the judiciary, a group of Republican senators Monday asked an appeals court to suspend Chief Judge James Boasberg, who initiated potential contempt proceedings against Trump administration officials in April.
The request comes just days before Boasberg is set to consider going forward with investigating whether Trump administration officials willfully violated a court order barring them from removing hundreds of people to a notorious prison in El Salvador using an 18th century wartime law.
Today’s Heather and Paul:
When you think of all the things that did not bring TSF down - the excess deaths from his mishandling of Covid; his insurrection and attempted coup and pardoning its violent participants; his anti-American policies whether it be taxes, finances, environmental and consumer protection, education, medical and scientific research, et al; his destruction of our alliances, beneficial international trade, and the rule of law; his corruption of the Justice Department; his militarized attacks on American citizens and legal residents In a dozen cities, some resulting in deaths; his auction of pardons; his thrusts toward dictatorship; his embrace of dictators, many our sworn enemies; his almost unimaginable corruption, self dealing and grift; his usurpation of legislative authority and defiance of the courts; his ongoing debasement of our politics and culture and attempts to destroy the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 14th and 15th Amendments - it’s almost comically tragic that what will finally rid us of him is the prurience of the Epstein scandal. But this is America, where half of us knew he is and always was a turd and the other half are just beginning to realize what he is because a few green ass flies have shown up to buzz around this stinking piece of rotting defecation.
As for the FEMA chief resigning, he gave a really nifty statement to ABC News about why he feels it’s time to go. No mention of what a colossal failure he’s been.
“I agreed to be the acting administrator through hurricane season when others wouldn’t. Hurricane season ends on 1 December. Since the danger has largely passed, I can now leave for other opportunities,” Richardson said. “Many were asked. One raised his hand and said, ‘I’ll do it.’ I knew hurricane season was three weeks away and time was of the essence. I didn’t hesitate. It was the same in the 2006 during the worst days of Iraq and the streets of Ramadi. Nobody wanted to train and fight alongside the Iraqis. I said, ‘I’ll do it.’”
Yes, this is the same guy who said “We have a hurricane season?”

GOP sends menacing texts to voters ordering them to un-sign petition
The Republican National Committee is reportedly sending “menacing texts” to voters in Missouri, ordering them to retract their signatures from a ballot petition to suspend Republicans’ recently passed Congressional gerrymander that deletes a Democratic seat in Kansas City.
Voting rights activists responded by gathering signatures for a ballot measure to repeal it. If that measure qualifies, the altered map is automatically suspended until and unless voters approve it.
The text, paid for by the Republican National Committee, stated, “Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins has declared TENS OF THOUSANDS of petition signatures IMPROPERLY COLLECTED. Did you accidentally sign this? Text back or call 417-612-9044 to withdraw your signature before it’s too late.”
This was NOT a reply to @darrtown
I can’t believe I’m typing this, but the idea there’s a photo out there of Trump fellating some dude named/called “Bubba” is at the very least plausible.
Makes the whole YMCA dance thing make a lot more sense – the song choice, the bathhouse energy and all that. The current president is reliving fond memories every time he breaks that dance out.
There’s a supercut of every time Trump makes ambiguous statements about men out there. And it makes his bizarre pantomiming a blowjob on the dais mike on the campaign trail last year make a whole lot more sense.
And Hegseth? He clearly has thing for bears hence his freakout over weight and beards in the military. He doesn’t want to be tempted on the job. ![]()
I think this half-wit was in place as a whipping boy in case the shit hit the fan during hurricane season. With the season ending, he is no longer of any use.
If the Epstein list doesn’t exist, what the hell is the FBI been doing? It isn’t exculpitary to say that the evidence isn’t there, because the evidence is probably there, it’s the investigation that’s missing.
Show of hands. How many here think Trump/DOJ/Congress will somehow muck up and prevent the release of Epstein related materials? If not an outright block then a limited, severely redacted release, because something…,something? Trump’s demand to the DOJ that the entire affair be reopened, reinvestigated and relitigated seems on the face a quasi-legitimate legal reason to thwart what Dems and the victims are seeking.
My vote? Limited, severely redacted release of files. With delays, motions, appeals, much finger pointing and bickering.
@darrtown There are two things going on this morning that were not TPM’s fault that don’t seem to be quite fixed yet. Because of the Cloudflare issue that shut down the comments pages some things were changed so we could at least read articles on the main page. But they had to “disconnect” it from being a paid subscriber.
That allowed that 25th Anniversary full page ad to pop up every time you went to read something. It seems to be fixed now. I didn’t sign out, I just refreshed on the main page and then went back to the comments. I hope that helps.
Aaaaand… we’re back. Hoomans 1, cybergremlins 0.
I think the Mike (?) Epstein’s question was sort of tounge and cheek. This is just a theory, but I think that he knew that Jeffrey had a great deal of compromising material, and this was a shorthand to what he imagined it was.
Regardless of what it is, it may have got his brother killed, so we might as well assume trump is felating the former president or a horse. Whatever it is, I think it’s probably pretty bad.
“the Department of Justice has turned over what they’re legally allowed to turn over.”
And what exactly are they prohibited from turning over about Trump lying that he didn’t know Epstein?
