Will these various mutually irreconcilable or even contradictory statements themselves become a national story? Alas, no.

In video footage of a gaggle with the press on November 14 released by the White House, Trump says, “Quiet, quiet piggy,” as a female reporter, stood off camera, begins to ask a question about the files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The president then appears to wave a finger in her face.
The reporter was from Bloomberg, CBS News’ Jennifer Jacobs later wrote on X.
“If there’s nothing incriminating in the files, sir, why not…” the reporter began before Trump snapped.
“Quiet! Quiet, piggy,” while jabbing his finger towards the reporter.
You can’t understand anything at all in the video, until you get to the end and you hear him say it quite clearly. He answered her first question. It was when she started the followup.

So the Hive and the comment threads have been temporarily separated from the front page articles. Even though we can now access the comment threads, TPM may be waiting to make sure that the issue has been completely resolved before they connect the front page articles to our accounts.
These days we have to be more specific. Trumps end can’t come soon enough? The Epstein farce can’t end soon enough? The rapture can’t come soon enough. There are too many things that can to come to an end, but not all of them are things to be desired.

The ‘Epstein Files’, whatever they are made up of, are not going to provide the ‘one thing’ we all want to see about Trump.
Instead it’s going to provide further documentation of how wealth and power and unbridled capitalism corrupt our society and our planet. I am doubtful it will be spun as anything but ‘It doesn’t say Trump is a pedophile, he wins!!!’ but what we can learn - and already have - should be appalling enough to prompt massive changes in how we operate. But I ain’t holding my breath for that.
Disgusting. A reminder, however, that for a good while he stopped making this kind of derogatory comments about particular women. Another sign of his mental deterioration that his inhibitions, such as they are, are failing.
