Trump Judge to DOJ: ‘Give Me a Break’ The judicial branch’s response to the Trump rampage has been slow but as The Atlantic’s Quinta Jurecic suggests, there are signs that it’s gathering steam. The more judges that dispense with the government’s presumption of regularity, the wider the door opens to investigating irregularities. Still, the pace…
First Steviedee? Pretty kitty
And David is up early today.
TFG says “we’re ready to sign!” Iran says “not so fast”
Stock market is all “ooooh, we’re signing!”
The bench slaps are nothing compared to the wild out-of-control Republican rule.
At least some people are noticing now.
Yes, and there will be some sternly worded letters issued shortly.
WaPo has great comments on the lawn. References to only 867 being visible (5309) Jenny. Prosecution to the fullest extent of the lawn, etc.
Finally some halfway decent news. It will be interesting to see the “Administration “ fighting with the courts. More than likely, the Seditious Six will make everything all right. As for Squeaker Johnson, can I get some of what he’s smoking? ”Russiagate” aside, that man most certainly should have been convicted and removed from office the second time. I will never fully understand why the Biden administration failed to fully prosecute him.
Boasberg already had my admiration for the way he’s handled his work, but the use of the word “truckle” puts him over the top.
Very Terrible, Very Terrible, Very Terrible, War Crimes, Ebola, THE END.
Yeah, that about sums up this administration.
That was one of the 2 big things that Biden failed. The other was trying to run for the second term, in violation of his campaign promise.
I have to make sure I get a good picture of my Tiger Oscar (known as “River Dogs”) in the unlikely event I ever get frist.
Beautiful animals. Their colouring is gorgeous.
@steviedee111 I love your pet pics. Great photo.
I bet it looked like a Benny Hill scene - music and all.
Well said
“They see the power of the White House and the Oval Office," Trump said, according to Taylor, “and they think, ‘Yes, Mr. President. Who tells you no?’”
“Who tells you no?” Taylor marveled.
Taylor has always suspected the tale was made up, like a lot of Trump stories, but he’s never forgotten it.
“I’ve thought about that line for almost 10 years,” he said. “At the time, people read it as pure vanity. In hindsight, it was as succinct a presidential thesis statement as we’ve ever heard. In my observation, a man like Trump experienced his office primarily through the thrill of being able to intimidate and coerce people through power, and if returned to power, a man like that was always going to use his office for personal gain at the expense of the polity.”
“Given enough time and enough compliant lieutenants, he’d refuse to be told ‘no’ by anyone or anything, whether it was the Congress, the courts, the Constitution, or even the calendar of his own mortality,” Taylor added. “Here we are.”
Stock market is simultaneously processing the ginormous SpaceX IPO. Priced yesterday at $135 per share to raise $75 billion. We’ll see if the share price holds up in early trading. The other shoe drops when the Anthropic and OpenAI IPOs. hit. Injecting huge amounts of value into the market (bubble quotient for the three mega deals indeterminable).
I bet he will keep it all and not use any in some truly meaningful way
Makes me remember a younger trump hoarding cash cuz it felt soooo good…
A thousand $billion is more than enough for any human
Remember when TFG bad mouthed the reflecting pool being filled with the “filthy” water from the Potomac? And he would only use “beautiful, clean” water. He refilled it from the Potomac. Yes, that water is filtered and treated at a dedicated water treatment plant so no, there wasn’t “dirty residual water in the plumbing”.
What the reflecting pool has, among other things, is waterfowl that swim on and poop in the water.
Previously, he would disparage the state of the Reflecting Pool, saying it was feces-infested and in disrepair.
They were in the water as it was being filled and because it’s a “reflecting pool” there’s no circulation in the water. Unless you’re going to set up a cabana for the pool boy that is needed to skim out the debris daily, you’re going to get gunk and algae.
As for his “nanobubbler”? It is unproven “sonic technology” that shoots tiny little bubbles at the forming algae to break it up and the bubbles remain suspended in the water, too small to be seen.
(There is absolutely zero scientific proof that this works on any level.) But hey, the pool guy told him! Guaranteed!
Happy trillionaire Nazi day to all those who celebrate!
It’s worth maybe a tenth of the valuation, but TSLA is 20x overvalued so I’m not shorting any of this shit
