President Donald Trump will soon hold a rally in North Carolina in support of Dan Bishop, the Republican running in the ninth district special election called after the first race was tarnished by accusations of absentee ballot fraud.
This election is important in that it will show whether the trend for the Dems started in 2018 will continue and may indicate which way NC will go in 2020. Of course, the Repugs will cheat again if they get the chance.

Why are they even holding an election? The Republican cheated. Give it to the Democrat.

That election should have been a forfeit by the republican. I wonder if they’ll get another swing at it if the R loses this time around, too.

The headline is a little too biblical,for me: “Trump descends on NC.”
I think one that substituted the phrase “Trump invades NC” would be more accurate…

Actual question: what does this say about the polls if they’ve decided that he needs to do this? Is it more for the race or for the President’s ego? At this point, I can’t imagine anyone who had a choice saying “that should help the undecideds.”

Unfortunately, Trump’s approval numbers are 48/49 approve/disapprove in North Carolina, so he has much higher approval numbers there than he does nationally.
On the brighter side “Since Trump took office, his net approval in North Carolina has decreased by 19 percentage points.”
And I presume the Republicans will cheat again, just to ensure that, even if they lose, they’ll get a do-over.
