Trump Descends On NC’s Ninth District Race To Stump For GOPer

No doubt we can depend on various Democrats, progressives, liberals, et al to draw 5%-10% of the vote away from the Dem nominee for Prez by casting ballots for assorted gadflys and vanity candidates… It’s what Dems do. Should be just enough to give Trump an Electoral College victory. Susan Sarandon will be proud.

Nah, he’ll back the Dem. I can see his announcement now:

“Vote for Dan McCReady in 2016, just the man NC needs in Congress!!”

And on the third day he will arise from his descent?

I suppose anyone who can bring Klan boys and Nazis together is some kind of a uniter.

THAT has never happened in this century. In 2016, the Libertarian Party candidate got more than 3X the votes as the Green Party candidate, presumably mostly from would-be Trump voters.

The problem is not third party candidates; the problem is we don’t have a democratic election.

But I guess Susan Sarandon rules your world.

No Democracy, No Justice.

OT but they seem to be pretty good at disqualifying themselves

WTF are you talking about? In the 2000 election Ralph Nader ran on the Green Party ticket and drew nearly 3 million votes and nearly 3% of the vote.

Early polls indicate the race to too close to call.

Given the symbolic importance of this seat to both major parties, it seems appropriate to me that the president would lend his support. But you know Trump loves a good campaign rally. So the answer to your second question is “Yes.”

Wow, way cool!

In a story about Trump campaigning in a special election being held because of a Republican vote-rigging scandal, you obsess about what’s wrong with Biden. Tell me, why should this not be flagged as off topic? It’s not like it’s some amusing little joke or aside here. It’s thread-jacking, or an attempt at it, basically. Why should it not be flagged?

You do that, Donnie, keep wanking off while the world burns.

And, again, as someone who has Bitched Copiously in the past about the TPM headline editing, this one (e.g., “descended upon”) is [kisses fingers]:

Shitstorm

Please proceed, Orange Pustule.

The answer to the second question is always “Yes.” What does Trump ever do that isn’t related to his ego?

Do you even read what you write? “Nearly 3% of the vote” is not even close to “5%-10% of the vote.”

And Libertarian Gary Johnson received 3.27% of the national vote in 2016 while Green Party Stein received 1.06% of the popular vote.
