Yes and we lost the election to Trump. So we just continue with same old, same old and that is after he was defeated four years ago.
In my opinion the Democrats need to shake up the Party. We need new, and energetic members. The same old, same old isnt going to get it.

OTOH, every time I go walking I end up picking up plastic garbage and putting it in some plastic bag I found hanging from a bush or fence. Something has to be done because we’re killing everything, including ourselves, with plastic garbage.
What we need is a national garbage pick-up week with some incentives like tax deductions or even prizes. If we really wanted to we could take meaningful steps and clean up our mess. It’s not that difficult.
As for Peanut, I shoot squirrels from my back deck with an old L.C. Smith double-barrel shotgun. I got nuthin’ again’ squirrels till thet get to eatin’ my house.

The constant in-fighting, purity policing, entrenchment politics, refusal to compromise and prioritization of tearing down the Dem party as opposed to tearing down the MAGAts is self-limiting and self-defeating. We will never have a liberal/progressive media environment that is even remotely competitive with the MAGAt’s as long as the Unicornshoe bullshit continues…and it shows no signs of abating (and every sign that they’re just going to double down, get angrier and throw increasingly ridiculous tantrums).
Unless and until people accept that coalition is the only hope and that it’s going to require compromise (and nobody being able to claim “I am right about everything and am entitled to a party that only does as I say”), we might as well just STFU, stop trying and learn to enjoy kkkristofascist plutocracy.

Trump took two years to reliably remember where the bathroom was in the White House, much less construct a legislative economic plan that produced immediate results – besides cutting taxes on ten people.
DISCLOSURE: I was not one of them.
Trump inherited an economy smoking from President Obama’s crime-free term, instituting national health care, and putting bin Laden in a watery grave.
Trump’s COVID indifference was HIS economic plan.

Biggest lie about Government Shutdowns is the “shutdown” part.
Becomes slave labor, military and government civilian workers forced to work without paychecks, “essential” expenditures keep going out.
We need to make shutdowns shutdowns. No Social Security checks, no Medicare, no planes fly, no food products like meat requiring inspectors get to ship a thing.
It would happen one time and then never again. Problem is that we make it a farce, by calling it a shutdown, then actually continuing to provide all of the services, just with slave labor, until funding catches up.
And, thanks to Reagan, no Right for the affected slave labor to strike and refuse to show up, or they lose their jobs.
