So he finally gets his wish, shooting someone on 5th Avenue and getting away with it. Only it won’t be on 5th Avenue and it won’t be with a gun. But Donald Trump finally gets to fulfill his most cherished fantasy of murdering people and getting away with it. Of course he’s already done this, via policy. Now he gets to do it in person. MAGA! Meanwhile, cases of COVID-19 are rising in Oklahoma, as they are in numerous other states.
And, meanwhile, it’s likely large numbers of Trump’s fan base will turn out, maskless and crowded together and cheering wildly, in no small part because their hero has led them to believe the disease really isn’t something to be taken seriously.
I don’t really give a damn if they all kill themselves, I just don’t want them taking their innocent relatives and neighbors and coworkers along to their graves.

How about people who get COVID-19 from someone who attended the convention? They haven’t signed any waivers and you could probably trace the source with phylogenetic analysis. Maybe I should get back in the business to testify for the plaintiffs.

Not a problem for these folks, as one of my conservative acquaintances told me there is no such thing as Covid-19 so its all good. All a global conspiracy, she didn’t explain to what end, but she was quite sure it wasn’t real.
