Trump Camp Attempts Damage Control After Johnson Caught Being Too Explicit About Gutting ACA

I’d like to see Ari do more hard hitting stuff and combat, and less “Fallback Friday” fluff… I really miss Mehdi Hasan. MSNBC/NBC really failed on that one. In fact MSNBC does not seem to be getting new and better programming. One one hand I can count people I actually care to watch there.

First, they’ll change the agency’s name to BBA – Big Business Administration. Then give concessionary loans to major corporate contributors.

She’s doing really well and she’s very sweet. She also loves and is totally fascinated with cats.

That’s my new grandson riding the wild pumpkin :jack_o_lantern:

I like Melber and never watched Hasan, although I’ve seen stuff about him. I love “Fallback Friday” because it’s optimistic and fun on a Friday, maybe after a bad week.

You can’t push edgy, not when someone else controls the purses trings. I’m glad Nicolle Wallace is able to do what she does.

I guess Trump and Johnson didn’t discuss the ACA at the same time they came up with the secret plan that Trump has been touting.

And if you believe that, get in touch with me about a couple of bridges, a new cryptocurrency, NFTs and some golden sneakers I’ve got for sale.

Let’s not forget Max Baucus’ shenanigans as well as Lieberman’s at that time.

One of the first orders of business during the lame duck session needs to be vacating him out of the Speakers chair.

Especially if the Dems will be taking control on Jan 3.

That little secret bullshit is most disqualifying.

My great grandson went to a pumpkin patch, he was afraid of some of the pumpkins! He is 6 months old. Numerous photos of him with the pumpkins.

Skippy is too ignorant to understand that when you take something away from people, they get pissed.

During WWII, actually. What happened was that, during the war, Uncle Sam imposed wage and price controls. With the labor market so tight (lots of men were suddenly unavailable for civilian jobs), if employers wanted to compete for workers, they couldn’t lure them with higher pay.

“Fringe benefits”, however – including health insurance – were not subject to the caps. So alla sudden, lots of businesses started offering plush health care plans as a benefit to attract and retain workers.

Meanwhile, in 1945, Harry Truman proposed a national public health insurance system, which the Chamber of Commerce and the American Medical Association have spent the intervening eight decades furiously denouncing as socialism.

Thank you for filling in my “blank.” I just did not have the time to think and document how that whole thing happened. All I remember is that my Dad had full coverage for his health, but his wife and five children had nothing in health care. For all those years. I never had health insurance until I went to college. We were poor, but my dad had a good job. So I guess we were at least “lower class,” and not freeloaders, and on “welfare.”

And if you informed them of the fact that it was/is Obamacare they would rail about the cost and say it was worthless.

Farmers will not like this. SNAP is tried to agriculture subsidies, which is why it’s in the Dept of Agriculture. Cut SNAP and you cut demand for ag commodities, lowering prices.
