Trump Camp Attempts Damage Control After Johnson Caught Being Too Explicit About Gutting ACA

What’s better than Medicare for All? UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE. There is a difference, and it would result in something so much better. Every good doctor I know is in favor of this, and not the Medicare/Medicaid/CMS model.

Flood control along major American Rivers?

That’s true. Also, they really like the Republican immigration plan.

Now if they could just get Congress to vote on it…

They’ve been doing this quite a lot. Seems like you wouldn’t do this if you were really trying to win. I used to think it was hubris, but I now think it’s simply stupidity. They can’t go ten minutes without talking, they don’t think it matters what they say.

Because Obama was always willing to cave, even to a phantom.

And here’s one more thing. After WWII, we somehow got down the track of Big Corporate employers offering limited health insurance in lieu of salaries. It is wrong that only people who get health insurance as a benefit from their employer are the ones that get comprehensive health care. Health care is a right, not a perk. We are one of the few “developed” countries that don’t offer health care to all their citizens. At very minimum fees. And most of them also allow people to buy private insurance to those who fully pay for it – but that should not be necessary. We will always be a country of "haves vs “have-nots” until we get this changed.

And health, as I said, is is basic right, and not a “privilege.”

Gutting the ACA (and ending Social Security and Medicaid) is absolutely, unequivocally trump’s policy position. He repeatedly tired to end the ACA (and Social Security and Medicaid) when he was President. Why would it be any different now? His spokesperson is a freakin’ liar. (Of course she’s a liar, but JFC! Does she think we are stupid?)

And he’s not “President Trump,” dammit! I really wish the trumpists would cut it with that bullshit. He hasn’t been POTUS since 2020 - he is citizen trump, candidate trump, convicted felon trump, fraudster trump, but in no way is he President Trump.

Was there any reason you excluded “Medicare” to the list TCF and his mob would like to end?
Otherwise, I COMPLETELY agree with you.

Simple mistake/oversight on my part. Repukes want to kill Medicare and Medicaid. Basically, they seem to want to kill all gov’t programs that help non-millionaire/billionaire people.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistant Program) – used to be Food Stamps. The Dept of Agriculture will be completely cut for funds for this.

Fun Fact: When President Lincoln established the United States Department of Agriculture, he called it the “People’s Department."

And, for @Paracelsus, it’s not just FDR they want to repudiate, it’s also that good ole’ Republican Abe Lincoln.

Gordan Sundland on with Ari, lying and being called on it. Ya know, TPM, you could do a small story about that. Or just post the video, and let people make up their own minds.

I’m pretty sure that Project 2025 addresses the ills of the Corp of Army Engineers, and have a line item in the DOD budget to wipe out their work.

Does it boil down to “One State, One Vote?”

I thought so. I appreciate your input. I wonder how the SBA will fare in Project 2025?

If you want red state republicans to support Obamacare, just point out that given the government subsidies and the fact that blue states fund the government more than red states, by supporting Obamacare they’re able to stick it to those snowflake liberals in California.

It’s more devious than that. Elie explains it nicely.
